For all you ladies who've had bubbas..

Something just popped into my head..
When you're in labour, and they check to see how dilated you are, how do they do it, do they put their hand up you to feel or fingers!?
Sorry. Bit of a TMI question, just curious!!

:eh:

Hand, and half their arm as well lol.

My hubby was a bit disturbed when I was having those examinations. He didn't think it was possible haha

Exactly why I asked, didn't think it was possible!!

Bit like when a vet checks up a cow's arse then lol!!

Leave your dignity at the door, you'd be amazed what can fit up there when you're dilated, just remember it won't be as big as what comes the other way :)

Loving this thread!!! Hilarious- but trying not to think about it too much!!

Dignity is left at the door. Had a fair few people's hands up my foof last week when I was in labour but it is honestly true that you just don't care

im hoping the labour pains will out weigh that pain....x

Lol they dont put half an arm up there, thats a load of nonsence. never did it with me, my sister & my niece who i was their birth partners and never seen them do it on one born either.

and if you have to have a consultant check position of baby or if you need ventouse! then james herriot did literally spring to mind...it was like a vet up a cow's bum! lol

They definitely put more than a hand up me, especially at the early examinations when the cervix was far back.

The midwife even had her hand inside me when I was pushing as well, to see if the baby was moving down!

Ahh I always know il regret reading on when I do! Xxxx
