*:*:* July Testing Thread *:*:* 3 BFPs

Hi everyone!

Im 10dpo today.. Tested yesterday and bfn ( i know its early! ). Tested again this morning with clearblue early detection and though i could see something but could have been evap so bought first respons and tested with diluted urin an hour ago. Got bfn which was dissapointing but when i looked again just now i think i see something.. Is it just my imagination?

Hi. I see a line on the blue dye test but not the pink dye test, but I'm not great looking at lines.

Fx this is the start of your bfp xx

:shakehead:Yep... im sure it was ANOTHER chemical for me now. Im spotting again and tests are much fainter lines, one I did was completely negative. Photo attached for interest/to refer to.
Hope the rest of you ladies still in get your BFPs, roll on my gynae appointment :shakehead:

The vivid dreams are a positive sign TT. I had them in the 2ww and all through my last pregnancy.

I think we all obsess about lines too much though i understand why. A line is a line and therefore a positive. There are people who get only faint lines and have a healthy baby and those who have a strong line and have a loss.

My tests turned up today... it took all my strength not to do one. I am not due AT till mid next week at the earliest so I know there is no point.

You're very strong willed. I figured the interenet cheapies were so cheap and they sent double so I might as well use them. Have been doing little evap line experiments and using Dans wee and trying to get false positives, lol. So far, nothing. But...I did get a line on one myself this morning. Very faint, but only 10dpo but I'll take it for the time being. Need to go and get more superdrug tests so saving fmu.
ooh add a pic? xx

Here you go. I see it easily in person, no need to squint but they just don't show as well on pictures.

Oh I see it straightaway GG! That's not a bad IC line.
Get on those earlys xxx

Same as yesterday and day before on the earlies...barely there line. I'm really not hopeful.

It's still early though, who knows whether your urine is more dilute? I think a line is still a line at this stage. Fingers crossed for your next test, perhaps try later on in the day? I know in general FMU is seen as the best BUT at an early stage because the hcg is in minute quantities is there any science behind the theory that after physical activity throughout the day it may be excreted in greater amounts as the blood flow is increased through the liver faster?

Trying so hard not to test. Nearly gave in this morning and got a test out of the packet. I am trying not to get my hopes up but in my head if I don't know then there is a chance that I am.

TT don't give up unless the tests are negative.

Um...That's still a pretty good line and read back what you just said to me about urine concentration.

I do understand though, I had a week of lines getting gradually more faint and it didn't end well, but, have you ever had this kind of spotting before? If not, then don't lose all hope just yet. Xxx

Okay, so, I have a picture and need to upload it in a bit but.. still a vvvfl. Was there far sooner than last few days and easier to see through the casing so I'm still 70/30 against at the moment. The hope is that I ovulated and implanted later than I thought and so hcg is still very low. Had a pint and a half of juice last night between 10pm and bed as well which is far more than normal but I don't want to read too much into that.

I have tests for tomorrow and Monday as well so we'll just see what happens.

I have no idea when af should be due. Spotting for the chemical started 2nd July and lasted 36 hours. I got a pos opk on Tuesday 11th, neg opk on Wednesday 12th. I guess on a standard luteal phase, I should be due af early next week. Time will tell. X

Here it is, definitely has purpleish pink in it and more visible than last two days. Not a total squinter like them but definitely very faint.

You may be also disregarding the fact that you are 39? And so may ovulate more than once in a month?
As we get closer to menopause we can ovulate more than once!!
It's true, Im obviously 36 next week and looking at how my age affects my fertility atm and read that yes, we can produce more than one egg and ovulate more than once!!
Even during AF!
I will leave you to do your own research but will post anything I see in future about it.

Im sure its chemical as Im spotting, dont test positive on any other but the early 10 miu, so at this point im 90% sure my tests will turn complety negative in next few days.

If it hadn't have happened so many times, yes I would be still hopeful. But its a pattern for me.
Something is amiss after fertilisation, I suspect my progesterone is low xx

Yes I can see it. Xx

Thank you. I have never seen these lines on proper negatives...have you ever had a line when you knew it was negative?

Yes, I know what you mean about age. I've been doing the opk's. Still 38 thankfully, only til November though.

I'm honestly surprised it's taken them so long to start looking into it with you. Yes, hopefully a little progesterone will do the trick as you have no problem catching. Fx this sticks but I know it's impossible to believe when lines are getting fainter. Xx

Oops! Sorry thought I read you said 39, but you know what I mean, after 35 and onwards our fertility changes with sharp decline at 40 (apparently) so was speaking biologically rather than in the usual socially ageist context :)
Nope I only asked for referral a few months ago but my OH won't push for his sperm analysis!!
It's fear, and allsorts really, he won't give up smoking either.
Im quite sick of asking him to go back to the GP, we have different ones. He finally got the courage to ask for his sperm analysis a couple of months ago and was told that wouldn't define whether he could have children or not. (fobbed off basically)
I told this to my GP who obviously said 'we're trying to start fertility investigations, he needs to change his doctor then'
But its just him not explaining it all properly when he goes for his appointment.
Im going to have to go with him or change my GP to his. Xx

Ah, don't worry, didn't think you were being ageist at all... I'm just clinging on to the younger end! Lol.

Yeah, we've been wanting to start trying for the last 9 years so I am always reading up on fertility and age issues. Luckily in Gloucestershire women under 40 get 3 cycles of ivf if needed so I know I have a good back up.

So, if you don't get much luck there...move to Gloucester! I do agree it would be worth you and hubby having the same doctor! Xx

Pretty sure I'm out cramps and sore nips today which are usual period symptoms for me a week before af, and she's due on Friday :-(
I see that line quite easy GG and I'm rubbish at line spotting
How are you TT? I'm still hoping the spotting is nothing more than just spotting xx

We aren't ivf criteria because we both have other children. Mine is 15 now, his is 11.
He's just totally laid back about everything, I basically have to have a temper tantrum to get him to do the washing up!!
Been out shopping and all of a sudden in Argos felt a gush and realised a pantyliner wasn't going to hold it, got in public loos and had passed a clot of stringy tissue about walnut size plus could actually feel myself bleeding (sorry tmi but for experience share). Got home and similar happened with gush again.
So (this has happened on previous occasions) it is the same scenario.
I told OH who was just like 'oh ok' he didn't say anything else I dont think he can talk about it. I said very pointedly, "if you got your sperm sample analysis done I could possibly get medication to stop this happening."
He said "yeah ok".
You can feel my annoyance at this point today.
Got some wine in anyhow. He's at work.
Humph..xx

Hi, sorry just read... Yeah im ok, its not just spotting now its all over. Im 99% sure. Crazy with my lines and digis but this is what seems to happen now most cycles.
Pissed off. But ok. I knew it was potentially going to be another chemical.
So I've got wine at least....and a toblerone. And OH is at work so my total choice of TV/music/everything. Blah.

You're not out with cramps and sore nips though? Could be pregnancy symptoms. Do you not early test? I would be frothing at the mouth for early tests now? Xxx

Ah TT, yes...i'm not in to sugarcoating and that does sound pretty definite. I'm so sorry. I'm also sorry you don't seem to be getting the support you deserve off OH. Last cycle, mine was belittle every feeling, I told him, he said sorry but kept doing it. Went to bed one night and I just let rip. Told him in no uncertain terms, this is something WE did together and he steps up right now or do I need to start questioning if I could rely on your support with a child because I will not do this alone. He looked like a deer in the headlights bless him. He was mortified, had no idea it was literally on my mind for 4 seconds out of every 5, all the time. I told him I knew it was a learning curve for him so I wouldn't judge him for it.

He's been amazing ever since.

It kind of sounds like you're approaching a time where you might just lose the plot, so would it be worth trying to properly have it out with him calmly before that happens? You deserve a lot more than you're getting.

Thanks holli. Keep hoping...no af means it's not over yet. Xx

Awww this can't keep happening it must be such a rollercoaster and emotionally and physically draining get on that wine and toblerone; does the doctor have any idea why they aren't sticking cos your catching easily?
No im been good haven't even looked at pregnancy tests oh is home too so he wouldn't be impressed spending a small fortune for a most likely negative im usually 32 day cycle so af due Friday - would be when it's my Friday Saturday Sunday to work- wonderful! Xx
