**** July 2014 Mummies ****

Yup! Staying yellow :) though my sister was flashed by both of hers- so hoping I have a modest baby!!

I agree Sarah, I'm impatient and want more, it maybe just our babies are saving their strength til later may not be placenta related- who knows! But thanks phoebes_mum! It's reassuring to know that it happens later :)

One of my biggest fears at the moment is being flashed haha got the scan Thursday - so excited but know i won't be able to just sit & watch it constantly for 20 mins like I did with the 12 week scan. Gonna have to be super careful!

We had to ask and she looked for us there was no flashing or hint thro the whole scan x

We told her as we walked in, hubby thinks he saw something, but sure it's just wishful thinking! :) but we've been sent for a walk as baby is being lazy and won't roll over so she can do all the measurements! Got to go back in 5mins for a rescan!!! Hope baby plays ball this time!!! Xxx

Awww bless, naughty little one!! Best of luck with second attempt!! xx

Thanks blue Bubble! Unfortunately not: We have to have a re scan in 3 weeks! No amount of jiggling bouncing or walking would move them! Lazy baby! Sonographer said all looked fine, but they need some more measurements in detail! :( we didn't even get a photo! But all is fine, bub was moving, just not turning over! X

Aww poor bub, must have been having more of a chilled/low-profile day today then - not feeling like having their picture taken!!

Wishing the time to fly by super-quickly for you Clarelp28! xx

At least you get to see baby again and they said everything looks fine x

Glad everything looks ok and glad you get to see baby again.

25hrs and 10 mins to go until mine - not that I'm counting ;) lol

I think times gone really quickly, only seems like yesterday we were having 12 week scans and 20 weeks seemed ages away.

Thanks ladies- yes, we know everything looks fine, so am excited at the extra opportunity to see baby- although I already am having a 28 week and a 34 week scan too :) lots of baby time!!!

Coz78- I agree- has gone so fast!! It's amazing! Before we know it we will have our little bundles here!
Daley- good luck tomorrow! Hope your baby isn't as lazy as ours ;) 24hrs to go!!!

Thanks Hun, I think it's turned around so hoping it's in a good position x

Glad baby is well if not co-operating. I couldn't have trans-nuchal measurement done because this little bud would not co-operate. I think your rescan will be about the same time as my first 20 week scan!! xx

Glad everyone is doing well.

Permission to have a rant?

Went for a meal weekend before last with DHs work mate and his gf. She is a teacher. She also knows I am pregnant. SHe had a cold and sneezed over the table at me a few times without a hand over. I wasn't best pleased but I suppose we all get colds. Later that evening she said how there was slapped cheek at her school at the moment. I instantly remembered something about it being dangerous to come into contact with that when pregnant and so I said so. Her face really fell, so I kind of brsuhed it off.

Anyway, I mentioned it to my midwife when I saw her on Tuesday and she said not to worry as highly unlikely I would catch it and that we didn't know for definite that her cold was in anyway related. But if I got a sore throat etc to phone GP.

Yesterday I got pounding headache, runny nose and hot face. Same today. As it's 9/10 days after I saw coldy teacher I thought prob not related but checked on NHS website and that said that slapped cheek has an incubation period of up to two weeks and that some people don't even get symptoms at all! So phoned GP today and they are giving me a blood test tomorrow.

So annoying. As a teacher she should have known better than to come out for a meal with a pregnant lady when having cold symptoms when they have slapped cheek going round the school. I'm so cross.

As I know only you will understand, it takes so much effort and emotion to get to the stage we've all made it to and the thought that some stupid person could jeopordise it... agggghhhhh.

Anyway, I'm reassured the chances of me having it are still low apparently and the risk to baby is very low but unfortunately can be severe. Waiting game now I guess.

Grrrr.

Andie - Sorry to hear you are feeling unwell. Hope the results come back clear - some people just don't think!

I am struggling to keep up with you all and not managing to put many posts up. Up North at the moment visiting family as we found out my mum has breast cancer in January and she got operated on yesterday. Hopefully they have got rid of it and she will be okay but we won't get results for another 2 weeks so a bit nervous about it all. She has also got to have 15 sessions of radiotherapy late March/April so tough the fact I live 5 hrs away.

Has anyone else not felt a thing yet? I am getting a little concerned I haven't felt anything yet - I was 18 weeks on Sunday. I heard the heart beat at 16 weeks and have my scan on the 3rd March so hopefully things are okay although a little jealous of you all getting movement.

~ Andie,
I understand your frustration and I'd be so angry with her too. It is so unfair. So inconsiderate and rude of her to say the least, considering her job (and I can say it as a teacher/lecturer myself)

Fingers crossed for you that you haven't caught it due to low probability, take care and I hope you feel better soon hun xx

~ Hi AnnaW,
First of all,
lots and lots of warm, heartfelt, super healthy wishes are sent your way for your mum's quick recovery and for good, clear results :petal: xx

Re. feeling the baby,
I have not felt a thing yet either. Heard heartbeat at appointment MW today which was wonderful. For the luck of feelings (apart from tension/growing pains) I want to think it is my anterior placenta that is responsible (at least it was anterior at about 14 weeks - although I know it sometimes changes position throughout pregnancy). I kinda see it acting as a "cushion" isolating baby's movement and stopping me from feeling it. I am hoping our babies will grow stronger soon and give us a good kick, strong enough to feel despite the cushioning!! ;) xx
