*January 2018 mummies - tri 3!*

Morning All,

I'm at home today, off work as Zac has had the latest grim vomitting bug from Pre-School. OH had yesterday off with him, so i'm off today as school are asking that the pupils stay of 48 hours, and in fairness, Zac still isn't 100% right. Despite having a poorly 3 year old, i'm enjoying a more restful day than if I was at work.

Can't believe i'm 32 weeks pregnant, another 4 weeks at work at the moment seems like a long way to go! However, my maternity cover starts full time on 28th Nov, so i'm hoping I can rest a bit then, and spend more time in the office rather than corridors chasing unruly teenagers!

I've got my hospital bag, baby bag and all the necessary stuff piled up in the nursery - really need to make some time to get that all organised.

Anyone sorted on the name front? We're still a bit up in the air!

I’ve started packing the baby’s hospital bag, got some onesies vests socks mittens and little hats in, and I bought some wipes that are good from newborn and put a nice car seat on layby that will last till she’s 4 yrs old so I’m finally starting to get stuff sorted out

have you washed all your baby clothes yet?

Yep all washed and ready to go lol can’t help myself I keep taking them out and playing with them  will be worn out before baby’s even here

We are on tank water so I took the opportunity when we got loads of rain to get it all washed hehe

Think I lost some mucus plug today! Not worried about early labour or anything but might just get hospital bag sorted this weekend for the tiny chance I may need it earlier than planned!

Hey ladies, haven’t had much time. Between the kids and moving house! We’re almost sorted and getting settled! It’s a lovely house. As for getting organised, I have some bits for the hospital bag that I got a while ago. For me - loose fitting pjs, breast pads, maternity sanitary pads.. packet of big knickers, non wired bras, little bottles of shamp/cond .. that’s about all I’ve done for now! for baby - Aveeno baby wash, ready made bottles incase we don’t breastfeed, I have some clothes but for bag I’ll take 6 vests, 6 babygrows, bibs, wipes, little sponge/cotton balls for a little wash if needed, 6/8 nappies, 2 hats, 2 knitted caridigans, will have outfit for Home when we know gender.. I am expected to stay in so I’m anticipating more things needed to bring in for baby. - sick/poo means more changes! They don’t have changing mats anymore at my local hospital so will have to take travel mat. Cellular blankets(although hospital do have some), then the usual, camera (if needed) phone charger, music maybe? Snacks, bottles of pop, depends what kind of labour you have!

If you have someone that can bring in extra baby clothes, and take away dirty ones, which is what I will be doing, then just pack for the first day really. Also depends how long you’re in for. I know I’ll be at least 3 days. But my mum works at the hospital so will probably do some washing for me! :) oh and slippers and dressing gown? I have new slippers for the bag! Hehe.

Baby is still breech , and so uncomfortable with the kicks really low down! :( we have another consultant appointment Thursday and scan. We have regular checks because of medical history. Hopefully baby will be head down soon. I really want a VBAC, and everything has looked ok for that so far! Apart from baby’s position! :)

As for names. We haven’t spoke about it for a while. But had narrowed it down to a few for each gender. . :)

Weve liked some since the beginning.
Boys are
Logan
Jasper
Zander

Girls are
Amber
Myla
Lana

We have no girls so wanted the middle name after my mum which is Kay, but do they all go??
Boys middle name will be Lee. X x

Karen, with Harley I lost the mucus plug at 25 weeks... nothing happened , I’m sure you’ll be fine, but best to be prepared.

Anyone’s BH contractions really ramped up, mine have been quite regular these last few days. It’s awful. :(

I don’t expect to be early this time as was 8 days late last time. Baby is so low now, uncomfortable to walk and toilet trips are ridiculous now!

With my first I had BH all the time... I mean ALL the time. Sometimes they felt so frequent it was like i was tensing my stomach the whole day. I don't mind them too much as I don't experience pain really, but any activity I do feels more tiring.

I thought this time was different... until the last 2-3 days, its been constant. He's also made his way toward my right hand-side rib cage just like my first son did....so the relentless ache has begun.

I also think I only have a few days left to zip up my coat before I'm too big. I've been hunching it up to fit over bump but can't do that much longer. Refuse to buy a maternity coat now haha... so might 'out' the giant scarves.

Has anyone else done NOTHING like me? Quite literally... we've swapped the car and thats it. I've looked stuff up and made decisions etc but physically sorting/buying/packing... nope!

I feel like I've done nothing Mel! I've certainly not got anything packed, or even organised but gathering bits as offers come up.

I've got 9 days left at work, and my 'surprise' baby shower tomorrow :) it's just an excuse to eat cake and blether though!!

I am 31 weeks + 4 and im pretty sure my bump has dropped. The pressure under my ribs has eased, however my hip pains increased. Getting a lot of discharge (NICE sorry TMI) and bump looks different. Cant be possible though yet surely?

I've done nothing Mel! We are having our house renovated so that has taken over....I need to get a pram, car seat, next to me crib, some clothes to start me off as having a girl, and get everything down from the loft and sort and wash. Our room is also a complete building site so under pressure to get that plastered/painted/carpeted asap so we can move back in and then move kids to their new rooms. The baby buying will all be last minute I'm sure...and only about 5 weeks till my c-section...eek!

Don't worry!! I've been having the same symptoms over the past week. Midwife put me at 32+5 today but bump measuring at 33 weeks. Baby's head is down already. I've had a lot of pains and cramps around base of uterus and top of legs/inner thighs. She said its just them nuzzling into place.

Otherwise we built the cot last night and have a pram, everything's getting a bit real!

I put car seat on layby got all her clothes bassinet is built and made up waiting bought a baby bath and swing bouncer thing just need a pram and I should be good to go, was considering buying a new robe for me for the hospital stay as my old ones a bit ratty lol

wtf the baby drops this early? I dont think I can take anymore.

What's annoying is no matter how supportive out partners try to be, they just dont get it and it can get frustrating. My o/h understands I am in pain but doesnt quite get that I am in SEVERE pain some days.

Yesterday I came home and bursted out in tears and couldnt stop crying which left him super confused only because I told him I want to go for a walk after work but after sitting in traffic for 2 hours in my car 1 street away from work, I had to leave my car overnight at work and take public transport home. He thought it was a good idea for me to walk home from station as I said walking helps stretch ligaments. So he fell asleep and I walked 20 minutes. ERR HELLO, after a few hours of struggling to get home, my body is too tired to walk. why dont these men use their judgement? lol

leaving work at 5pm and getting home at 9pm does not mean I want to walk home.

I can relate. I don't think they do understand the pain and the aches and when you say it's bad, it's BAD!
Husband had a sore shoulder.. All I heard about was the sore shoulder. Mix of rage and hormones saw me lose my shit about the sore shoulder. Like are you serious  funnily enough it got better pretty soon after ha x

Is this de ja vue? That's exactly what happened with me and hubby today! He's also complaining about his shoulder and I lost it with him ! He's been very nice and treated me to nandos .. hmmm it's nice that they try but they just do not get it!

Oh and he told his colleague who asked whether I've been hormonal due to pregnancy that I came home yesterday and was crying because it was windy outside when I walked back from station. Wow lol. I give up.

This is why I'm so happy I have this forum and a few female friends who I talk to regularly that keep me sane otherwise there'd be murders lol

That sounds exactly like something I'd cry over too  bless you. I bet it was traumatic and for him not to care! Looking back it's probably hilarious but at the time!! *rage*

I cried because I didn't make quite enough mash to cover my shepherds pie the other night  i hope husband keeps it to himself but probably won't haha

I don't think women are exactly emphatic either to be honest. I've found I mention my ailments and they had the same but times about 10, and it'll only get worse  not, aww I remember I had that you poor thing. Sometimes you just want a little pat on the back haha xx
