Congratulations hoping for no 2!!
I'm hoping to bf this time for longer but it can be a real trial, don't be too hard on yourself hoping!!

Well yesterday after another encounter with dh I had a lot of cramping to the point I'd say they were irregular contractions, but it's all settled down again.
karenb happy due date!! Any plans to help baby along?

I’ve not been very successful in the past so not holding my breath... But we do seem to be doing a lot better and I’m feeding almost exclusively with OH just giving one bottle of expressed breast milk late eve. She was weighed Sunday and hadn’t lost much weight, so that was good to know. Hopefully you are in early labour...look forward to hearing your news!

Just a quick update, as I’m still exhausted and on strong pain medication! We had our cesearean on 4th jan, there were complications but our PINK bundle was born weighing 7lb 1oz, so in love and over the moon! good look ali and anyone else having signs x

Just to let you know Louisa was born yesterday at 117am, weighing 7lbs 4oz
It’s quite a tale so I’ll explain more when I’m home which may well be Monday.

She is absolutely stunning and we are delighted.

Huge congrats on your pink bundle Sugar & Mel - I’m glad your recovery is improving.

I'm being induced on Sunday so my wife and I are doing our final preparations.
I've been so uncomfortable, been having cramps and back pain since Christmas eve.
More than ready to meet little one now!

The best advice I was ever given with my daughter was ‘don’t give up on a bad day!’ It helped me so much and I ended up feeding for a year! (Combi for the last 3 months when returned to work) good luck!! Xx

I've joined a fb group called UK breastfeeding support. It's a busy group with lots of repetitive questions but really good advice and support around latching, growth spurts, supply and expressing. I feel more prepared this time around but if baby needs fed and I can't give bm then she'll get some formula and I've promised myself not to beat myself up over it.
I'm so uncomfortable today, still lots of bh but not much else. Any signs karenb? I've booked my induction reflexology for Saturday so looking forward to that.

2nd sweep done today and induction booked for 17th if nothing happens between then and now!! Im so tired of waiting and Im desperate for something to happen. The past few weeks I feel I have been waiting but going over is just so frustrating! Lets hope he is this chilled when he arrives!!! Xx

Nope, nothing. Quite fancied baby being born on 10th as my daughter was born on 10th (different month) but today is not the day! I’ll be frustrated turning up to my midwife app on Friday

Had a hospital appointment today, baby has moved down but only very slightly! Have an appointment for a sweep next week.... is this painful or what does it involve? They didn't explain it very well in the hospital!!

I'm booked in for a sweep next week too JCT. The midwife or Dr basically does a vaginal exam with their finger. If they can they will insert a finger into your cervix and in a small sweeping motion try to separate your membranes from the cervix. In theory it starts to release prostaglandins. I had two unsuccessful sweeps with my first. It wasn't the most pleasant, I felt a bit achey after.

I've been awol for so long from this forum! I've been checking it near enough on the daily but haven't been posting. I'm terrible!

Little one was due yesterday. Had an achy lower back most of the day and two contractions in the evening about 10 minutes apart but nothing since. Really hoping he comes soon as OH and I are going crazy waiting for him lol. I've got to see the midwife on Sunday if he hasn't arrived by then and she'll be discussing doing a sweep. Really hoping he comes before then though. His head is very low down, keep losing more and more of mucus plug each day, lower back ache, lots of niggles and pulling and BH. Come on little man!!

I’m booked in for a scan and sweep in 5 days and because she’s not engaged they are worried I may need a c section could be a physical problem stopping her dropping ugh been on the ball all day bouncing trying to drop her down but no luck yet

I’d rather not resort to one but as someone said they can wait till labor starts to drop lol my girls just stubborn and too comfortable in there lol

Me! However, my toddler, who normally goes to bed perfectly, took an hour and half of screaming tonight which has made me have a near break down!!! Any one got toddlers who are behaving differently nearing birth of baby??

Yup!! My nearly three year old has become super clingy and literally whinges at everything when I'm around, but totally chilled with everyone else.
My 7 year old is now also getting in on the act, up with bad dreams for the second time in two nights, and I've just caught him downstairs watching TV having had breakfast at 3.30am, what on earth!!!

Omg so it can affect them at any age! Can’t believe how bad last night was, my mum is having her tonight (for only second time- that’s how desperate) so I’m filling up on curry to try and get baby moving lol

So I am only a day over but spent the whole day yesterday on MAC at my local hospital for high blood pressure and really want this baby to come now!

Anyone got any ideas?
