January 2017 mummies! **2nd Trimester.**

I think we've just nailed down our girl name to Maggie Violet (Dyson). What do you gus think? I know Maggie is unusual, it's a nod to my late great grandma Margaret who was very loved! I have always just loved the name Violet.. Poppy's calling bump Mags now and it's melting my heart a little! x

Its a boyyyyyyyy

Has anyone else got the ''mask of pregnancy'' freckles?! I keep thinking my face looks really dirty and then realising it's just a load of freckles

Love the name Kate!

I have none sprout but never had any before hand anyway xxxx

Congratulations Abi yay a little boy how lovely X
Kate love the name super cute xx

When is it that babies start to have regular movements? I know it's too early yet, I had a couple of days where they were quite busy I think they were changing position as then I've had a day where they've been really quiet, but isn't it further on when you monitor them as you feel them more as they get bigger ? X

Thank you lovely :) I've read that you start monitoring from 24 weeks in high risk pregnancies and a few weeks later in low risk pregnancies. I guess you're high risk with twinnies? So still another couple of weeks before you 'should' be starting to look out for their patterns of movement.. Can't wait until I get there!! xx

Lovely news BlondeP! :boy:
Does anyone have swollen ankles or fingers yet? My midwife asked if I did! Don't thank goodness! Had bad cramp the week though.
A friend gave us her nearly new Moses basket with rocking frame today, it's adorable! Need to get a matching one for twin 2!

No swollen ankles or hands for me, but my face has gotten a little puffier. :)

That's lovely of your friend X

I've not been too bad, only get puffy fingers on hot days when walking the dogs X think they look out for it with pre eclampsia don't they X

Good morning ladies, happy Suday! :) One thing I was wondering, when I went to the movies in the first trimester, I noticed how loud the movie was in there and I was thinking about the baby hearing that when his ears develop. So at this stage, do you think the loud sounds from the movie playing in the theater will be too loud for the baby's growing ears? They have the sound really loud in there. I was thinking of going to the movies with my OH today, then I remembered this question.

I wouldn't worry Papermoon :) Baby can hear our heartbeat/body noises and then only muffled sounds from the outside.. I'd imagine with all that amniotic fluid and padding surrounding them any loud noises will be greatly reduced.. Enjoy your film! xx

Any idea why I might be constantly getting a numb left hip/thigh ? Started in the past few weeks but it literally goes dead! :/ xxxx

Trapped nerve in your hip maybe? I get really achy hips, at night especially. Is it painful or just numb?

Painful when walking then purely numb when sitting/lying . Trapped nerve sounds about right xxxx

Ooh horrid :( You've been through the ringer Abi! It's my girl's first day at Big School today - eeek! Give me the strength not to cry! xxx

Oh bless! It's my niece's first day too - can't believe how grown up she is. Good luck Poppy! And good luck mummy!! :-)

Awww good luck little poppy! ❤️ I think baby's first day at school is a good excuse to devour a full large bar of chocolate once you have done the school run ;) xxxxx
