IVF Abroad - help :D

I am considering In my head IVF Abroad. I have no idea where to start, what to look for etc. If you have any experiences/tips or anything please could you just write a quick line.

I have soo many questions rolling around in my head, I am guessing I need to pick a country and go from there?

The fertility show have loadsss of stuff about ivf abroad. Its in November tho.
If you Google experience's should find a fair few stories.
Most clinics have all info on thier websites and a number to call to inquire x

Yeah we went last November, it's full of ivf info.. I only threw it away the other week ahh could have put the leaflet info's on here for you.

How come you wanna go abroad for it?

Yeah, it's going super fast. Only 15 weeks left xx

Cheaper and hoping they aren't as strict with BMI. I am supposed to be losing but I am gaining - can't stop comfort eating. I am my own worst nightmare xx

Oh, I didn't know even private places in the UK you had to have the right bmi :/ I know there's quite a few in Spain - some have great deals to like if you don't get pregnant the first time you get so much of the next go so definitely look around

I'm looking at Serum at the moment, on their basic initial form they ask for bmi but I don't know how strict they are about it.

The problem is, it can make a big difference, you might want to ask yourself if it's worth putting yourself through the travel and expense if you're not giving yourself the best chance? Believe me, I understand, I've been teetering around 30 for a while and have recently tipped over, finding it almost impossible to sort myself out and lose some weight but I know I have to do it before I go down the ivf road again.

You might want to look at the fertilityfriends website, they have different sections for each country and threads for all the different clinics in each country so tonnes of information.

Hey hon we went to serum and can't speak highly enough about them they are amazing! They actually have a consultation session over here in July that you can book up to speak to Peny, I was really apprehensive about treatment abroad but it was the best choice we made as we'd not have great experiences here. Peny is just an amazing woman she really is!

They've also just received their licence for stem cell treatments so it's an exciting time for serum

Syd I was never eligible for IVF here as I was over BMI but it was never mentioned at all at serum when we were having treatment.

Oh and my BMI was 31 ish I think ? x

For us going abroad was totally worth it & still worked out cheaper than out private we had over here first & it was the most relaxing experience and Athens is amazing x

That's good to know FBTTN8079, thanks. I'm around 31 at the moment I think. I've had email contact with a couple of people from Serum over the past week or so and they are so lovely, and so incredibly responsive!

Cockermum, I've just emailed them to ask about the July consultation that FBTTN mentions, I'll let you know what they come back with if you like?

Serum is amazing. You might also look at Invicta (Poland - perfect PGD), Zlin, Reprogenesis (excellent ivf with de), IVF Spain. Good luck
