i've just been reading maybe baby and Vicky's thread about asking questions at their GP and i thought i would pass this on.

i go to a GP surgery in London so it's quite big. there are about 12-15 doctor's in the clinic. the last time i went in, there was a screen up with a picture of each of the GP's and it outlined what their medical interests are and their expert areas.

there were three GP's who specialise in fertility and, two of whom teach junior doctor's at the local hospital in this subject area. of course now i am going to ask to see one of those doctors every time i go. just thought it might be an idea for you ladies to ask the reception who are the specialists and book in with them. Unless its a very small surgery there is bound to be a GP who specialises!?

xx

Really good advice Positivity! And I've just answered MaybeBabys question on how often to have sex on the Luteal Phase thread x

I totally agree with you.

I am new to this surgery and this will be my first appointment there.. may as well make it a big one!!

The surgery is larger then my last one (1 Nurse and 2 GP's) they have 5 GP's and 4 Nurses, when I phoned up I asked the receptionist who the best person to speak to was and she recommended the lead nurse as she deals with Family Planning and Sexual Health, she said it would be a good place to start!

My GPs office is quite small and i already got the impression that the one my husband saw doesn't seem to understand the relevence of medical conditions on fertility, so it's really good advice :)
