Is a changing table really necessary?

Looks like i'm in the minority  like Dior said i wouldnt be without it.

however i do live in a bungalow so no stairs for me! wouldnt have bothered if we already had drawers but as we needed to get them thought we may as well get one with the extra change bit that you can take off later.

still using it for alex as he always tries to get away on the floor - but theres nowhere to go on the change table :D

how do u lot all change on the floor??? i think its cause my belly is so flabby still i cant breath when i bend over

he he me too- does my back in as well!

I must be a weirdo too cause I always use it. If your changing nappies on the floor in the lounge where do you keep the nappies?? I have a chest of draws with a changing pit on top with mat, and shelves above it with the nappies, nappy sacks and wipes, so I take him upstairs and change him with everything at hand. Then I just bring the nappy sack down with me afterwards and throw out the front door straight into the wheelie bin. It would do my back in to change him on the floor. Plus it just seems messy to me to have that stuff around the house anywhere other than in his room.

In Jacks room i have a big vanity unity thing with a sink built in ( teenge girls who lived here b4!!) and i have thrown his changing mat on that and baby bath at the other side and it has drawers under neath, must admit i use it most of the time now, when he was little i changed him downstairs had a well stocked changing bag behind the sofa!!!

Killed my back on the floor too so was on sofa with a towle most of the time

So i would say if you are gonna get loads of use out of one (like a chest of drawers) go for it

I change Seren on the floor. I keep all her nappies and stuff in 2 wicker baskets, one in the living room and one in our bedroom.

Dionne!! lol so many people are starting to call me Dior now hehehe
but i dont mind i love the name rather then my man name :rotfl:

We've got a chest of drawers with a detachable changing bit for the top & I use it every day when i'm upstairs.
For downstairs i've got a changing box for all the bits & pieces & use a mat on the floor. I prefer having the table upstairs as it doesn't kill my back bending over.

In her changing bag - I cart it around the house with me, take it out with me, that bag is practically superglued to me! lol
