My consultant said that because my bmi is high I'd have to be induced at 38weeks if I didn't go into labour naturally... I don't understand why?? I haven't had growth scans yet or anything so how do they know?!

I've also been sent for tests for diabetes next week at 16weeks even though there's no medical reason other than me being fat and they're not usually done till 24-28 weeks

I'm not sure my 10yr old childlike consultant knows what she's doing

I'm not sure they induce just for high BMI. I could be wrong though. Usually they have to induce early if you develop gestational diabetes as the risk of stillbirth is higher and obviously baby grows really big in those circumstances.

My midwife forgot to book my GTT  Now having to organise one urgently as I'm already 28 weeks...

But if I don't get diabetes she's still saying it but did no reason i can think of.
