I woke up this morning and had a little bit of spotting then about an hour ago i had a small clot and blood when i wiped.

I've been in tears since i'm convinced i'm losing this baby. I'm 5 weeks gone... can't get to the dr's until tomorrow evening..

No cramps or pain just the bleeding which has now stopped... for now...

Oh hun big hugs. I know it's really hard but try not to worry. Rest up today and take things easy. Can you get to an epu or an out of hours doc sooner. Really hope all is ok for you.

Thanks unfortunately i can't as the EPU near here will only take u on a referral from your doctor :( I know that Some people experience bleeding throughout pregnancy and everything is ok. But I can’t shake this sinking feeling

:hugs: was the blood bright red or brown? sorry you are going through this but spotting is common early stages sweets xx

Hope you find out if everythings ok it really plays on your mind. It's very common unfortunately I've had three scans and everything is fine! Fingers crossed it will be for you too cxx

Bright red hun with a small clot..

the spotting this morning was pinky...

There's been nothing since the bright red and clot so far... x

it can still be your bean snuggling down into your womb hun, i hope you get to see docs soon to put your mind at ease xx
big hugs i know you must be terrified hun

Can it?? ok thanks that's helped ease me slightly... just honestly didn't think there'd be a clot... guess i just went into panic mode... so desperate for it to be ok...

Hi sweetie,

Your GP will only refer you to the local EPU and if you are not seeing Dr's until tomorrow evening it will not be until Wednesday at the earliest you are seen.

I would suggest either going to a walk-in Dr's now and getting an immediate referral or better still find your local EPU and ring them directly.

To be honest at 5 weeks there isn't much they can do - they'll check your hCG levels and maybe scan you but it is too early to see much in the womb I'm afraid.

Try not to panic it could be nothing at all, but def try to get an appointment at the EPU as soon as you can

xxxxxxxxxx

it could be implantation? do not google it though hun honestly it wi;l; fry your brain!

just try and be positive ( so hard i know ) and carnats advice is bang on! at 5 weeks no scan will show anything hun but at least get it noted you had a bleed.

Amyrose ( hope ya dont mind me saying AR! ) had a big gush of blood in tri1 and her bean was ok! its common but doesnt make it any less scary

Thanks everyone:hugs:you've all been great...

I'll try calling the local EPU and see what they say xxx

They will have you back for another scan hun, when they would expect to see more...

Yep, the waiting is excrutiating hun but you need to hold in there and keep calm

Just come off the phone to lovely person at the EPU. I suffer from a blood disorder called ITP which is a platelet disorder and it can cause me to have heavy periods/bleeding gums, bruise easily. They have advised me that this is more than likely implantation and that it's heavier than most due to my disorder.

I feel like such an idiot that I didn't think about that. They've told me to come in and see them tomorrow morning they'll take some blood to monitor my levels and then go back next week to check them again and a scan as i'll be far enough on then...

So i'm breathing an ickle sigh of relief and trying to stay positive...
Thank you everyone for your comments and help xxxxxx
