Good on you - like I said in my pm if she's done nothing wrong she doesn't need to worry. Tail docking has been made illegal because it is an unnecessary mutilation of a dog, done for no other reason than to make the dog look a certain way

did she mean a pit bull? not a bull dog? bull dogs have tails.. shes talking crap.. pit bulls (well all pit bulls ive seen havent but then they could ahve been docked) shes a lier.. your pups mum is definatly a boxer probably boxer cross.. perhaps the dad was a bull dog.. she does have features of a bulldog.. but i would say shes a cros between bull dog and boxer.. shes still stunning tho

Your pup is gorgeous! I wouldn't give her back either! I so hope she is banned from having anything to do with animals if she is docking and ear cutting. Those ears look cut to me too.

She advertised her pups as 75% English Bulldog 25% Old Tyme Bulldog. She said the Mum was 50% English Bulldog 50% Old Tyme Bulldog and the Dad full English Bulldog. She is talking crap because the pic of the Mum she sent me is a Boxer and NOT the dog she showed us when we were there. The Dad could well be full English Bulldog but the Mum certainly has Boxer in her going by that pic. I'm not bothered that we have a Boxer, she is fab but the breeder is not getting away with docking puppies tails to try pass them off as Bulldogs to line her pockets

Funny you said that jools, my brother in law said her tail had been docked illegally but i didnt want to mention it as shes your pup babes, im bloody pissed off though for you - how dare she pass scampi off as a bulldog when she blatently wasnt - poor little scampi - how is she though jools, we miss her!!!

Just thought i would mention if the dogs have come over from ireland (which lots still do) then many are still docked and there is nothing illegal about it.
I am assuming you didnt get any papers with the puppy (not that that makes much difference as the KC are a waste of time and money IMO anyway) it just means you would be able to trace the pups.

No the pups havent come over from Ireland hun, she has had them at her property since birth. I dont have papers for her and no receipt either so have shot myself in the foot really. I'm not bothered about the money or that she's a Boxer but I dont want her to get away with docking tails and I hope that the inspectors charge her (or whatever it is they do) and can stop her from breeding or something.

mrs_tommo, she is doing great again and is a right little nutter We had our suspicions about her tail TBH. Its good to have her back. She is doing well with her toilet training again now and didnt go at all all night last night

Mum is defo a boxer hun and so is your puppy. My sister has a boxer and he looked exactly like that as a puppy but he's red. They are gorgeous dogs though hun and very loyal and loving. Glad you reported them though hun, can't believe they could do that!

I've been reading up a lot about Boxers since finding out and they are supposed to be great with kids so I'm happy about that. She is the most beautiful pup ever and is so loving and playful. We are just crazy about her and Maddison has racing comps up and down the livingroom with her

I just had a phone call from the RSPCA inspector and she is coming to visit me to get a statement and see Scampi for herself either today or tomorrow. She went to my vet and got a statement from both the vet and vet nurse who confirmed Scampi's tail was definitely docked and that they believe her to be Boxer not Bulldog. The inspector says she is sending someone to the breeders house today (I think) to get a statement from them to find out who docked the tails so the breeder will get whats coming to them now
Will let you know the outcome of the investigation

Awwww good for you the poor little puppy.....its shocking why people dock tails.

We have a boxer (Bob) and hes brilliant. He is nuts completely crazy but so loving and fun and great with kids. They are also very very bright dogs and easy to train!!

I also have to say that Bobs tail has been docked and was done before Lee got him so was little chance of finding out who done it as Lee bought him after he was a few month old and not from the breeder. The end of Bobs tail sometimes gets sore so keep an eye on it in case your puppies goes the same way. The vet says its when hes sat and wagging his tail and its rubbing on the floor poor thing
