HSG today!!!

Its time for my last hurdle before I get the depo and clomid hopefully next Tues. Ive got the hsg dye test with xray! Im so hoping it all goes ok and there are no blockages or problems! Im ready for a bloody af and at least a chance of getting a BFP! Im actually just a little nervous about today as I can't really imagine what this is going to be like!

Ive to actually wee in front of someone too and do a pregnancy test so they will do it though as they don't do it on unless you are definetly 100% not pregnant. Eh if I was do you reckon id be here!!! I may have tested!

Hey Laura I work in the xray dept and assist the consultants with these procedures. Please dont worry it's pretty much like a smear test. It can be a bit uncomfortable and painful afterwards but paracetamol taken before you go is a good idea. You may get some bleeding afterwards too so take a pad. We also do a pg test before the procedure but we allow the person to wee in private, i cant imagine anyone putting themselves through tests like this unnecessarily. Good luck and i hope all goes well for you. Our consultant will sometimes tell the ladies if anything is blatantly obvious there and then but in most cases you will have to wait to see your fertility specialist to get the full results. Well, it was a bit more painful than I anticipated but its now over and the good news is he reported to me right then. No blockages both tubes are fine and clear. This results means I have my dr appointment on Tues now and should get my shot of depo and then start clomid from a bleed! Im actually a little excited about getting an af! I am lightly bleeding now but Im sure that is of a result of the hsg and not an af.
