Empty it doen the loo and rinse in the sink or with a bottle of water if in a loo with no sink. Loads of benefits see the website

I love it because it is saving money and is environmentally friendly. I can go all day without needing to change it. It is safe so no risk of TSS like with tampons.

OMG they look awkward!!!

I dont think I could use one of those!! Are they easy to use? I mean what the hell do you do with them?? Sorry I need everything in blunt crude terms....

I have problems using tampons so thinks its a no no for me...interesting tho!! xx

Not awkward at all. I dont notice mine is in. I used have issues with tampons, I used to get shooting pains with them. But I feel nothing with the mooncup.

It takes a few attempts to initially get it in and in place, but within no time you get the hang of it. I have been using mine since Sept 08 and only once used a tampon when I got out and had to harrass a stranger for one, lol.

So does the whole thing go inside of you? And the funnel bit on the end I assume is closed?? Just looks rather ghastly....lol xxx

Lol. You cut the long thin bit to suit you and so nothing sticks out. The whole cup bit is inside you. It is sealed.

I see.....Hmmm well maybe one day lol although I would def be without the nightmare I have everytime AF arrives!!! We will see but for now Im hoping all these symptoms are going to result in a BFP and keep the old bag away for the next 9 months lol xxx

I would have thought it wasn't very hygenic keeping it all in like that when it's supposed to come away? When you lie down does it run to one side and lie there?

You could say the same about a tampon though, that sits in your body.

I hadnt thought of that movement side to side! But I cant say I have felt anything move side to side. But I always empty before bed and then empty when I get up, not that I think it would be an issue.

If it was unhygenic I am sure my body would have let me know. I always sterlise after af goes and before each use.

Oh I totally love my mooncup best thing ever

Really sorry she got you Bonny X :flower:

Not sure about that cup thing, I suppose you get to know actually how much blood you do bleed in a period , bet it's not half as much as you think!

When I first heard about moon cups I thought.... urrghhh!
But I tried one and never looked back! It's cheeper, more environmentally friendly, no risk of toxic shock syndrome, and just feels more hygienic. And takes up less room in the bathroom cabinet :)
AND can be used as a ttc aid to keep the swimmers in place ;-)
Seriously I'd recommend them.

Oh I totally lost track of your thread topic Wilma!
I'm 4 dpo and zero symptoms.

today 5dpo and no signs really slight cramping but nothing major so want it to be this month fx,

Not sure if you think about it too much you seem to pick up on stuff that is totally not pregnancy related. but you put it down to that do you know what i mean?

I think you may be right fairy dust! I always have symptoms by now, but because I think I'm out due to early Ov, I'm getting no symptoms at all! :) Xx
