How long does your AF last?

Hello - was just wondering about AF. Mine last about 2 days proper with browny light stuff for 1-2 days after that. Been that way for years. 20 years ago when I first had them they were heavy and lasted 7ish days but now im an adult they're quite light and short.

Mine is normally between 4-6 days & always quite a heavy flow, don't get a lot of the light brown stuff

Mine normally last between 5-7 days but i get brown discharge on the last day or two, normally quite a normal to heavy flow for the first few days though x x

Mine last 4 days, with browny light stuff two days after that! Mine also used to last for 7 days and were heavy in my "younger" days

Mine have also changed over the years, used to be 7 days. Now they can be 3 days and browny discharge for 1 day, so pretty short. Normally only heavy for 1 day too.

Phew so everyone's different. Was having a wee small hours worry! Nurse I'm most similar to you.
I wonder if length of period or heaviness means anything in relation to ov or if it's all just random and personal to the individual.

hmmm ye i wonder that too, do you get cramps before your AF? i used to alot but now i only get light cramps and only once AF has arrived.

I get cramps only when AF here too. Before that it's weeks before and I'm thinking it's ov time cramps now. Its been good tracking symptoms actually (even tho at the time I'm convinced it's implantation then preg then bfn guttedness) cos now I'm thinking ooh it might be ov pains and they're more or less 2 weeks before AF. A silver lining! Next month opks to verify that. Like a science experiment lol with hypothesis, method and conclusions!

I think i'm one of the lucky ones, mines only lasts for 1 day, I would get away with only using panty liners but i use a tampon anyway.

Mine used to be 4-5 days and only slightly heavy on day 2 but thanks to the pill it's been a while since I last had a proper period so have no idea how long they last now, hopefully the same or shorter

Mine varies between 4 and 7 days, normally short though. I also usually get major AF cramps for a couple of days beforehand and then heavy flow. x x

Im the same as tink used to be really heavy and last 5 days but now it bad and lasts for about 1 day - this month it was 18 hours. But sometimes it will stop for a day then come back again all horrible n brown xxx

Mine's 6-8 days and really heavy for everything but the last day. so much easier since i discovered mooncups as everything else would need changing after an hour or two and nothing would get me through the night!!! my mooncup is my saviour

Yeah - I think its due to being on the pill. I've been off the pill a couple of times and when i'm off my totm lasts maybe 3/4 days.

Oh so AF can get lighter & shorter after being on the pill? hope the same happens to me, one thing about TTC is not taking the pill and being able to 'skip' periods

4-6 days for me and very light but thats because Ive been on the pill 15 years. The first real AF I had last month was quite heavy but still 4-6 days long which Im pleased about. x
