My NHS hospital is driving me mad!!!
Just how hard is it to get simple information these days?? As you know hubby and I went back on Tuesday for our follow up to be told that we will get referred to an IVF clinic. They did not have the book with the list of those 5 clinics. Aparently they do not have the funding to get the book, so they told me to ring them on Wednesday. I called them and after leaving several messages a rather shirty receptionist gave me the list on the third attempt. I rang them again today as the list was not making any sense for example she said we could go to Oxford. When I asked what she meant by Oxford she just said Oxford?? Well that helps because there are probably a few bloody hospitals in Oxford!! Then it transpired that the list she gave me was wrong. That goes a mornings research out of the window, and I have only now just got the correct list.
The thing is, how on earth do they get this wrong? It is pretty important that they I get the right info and so we can do the right research and chose the best place for us. How many girls do they refer from this hospital every year?? judging by waiting lists it must be hundreds, and surely it is the same 5 hospitals so they should know this.
Then everyone asks me why I paid private for all of the investigations!!! I wonder why?
