How are all you new mummies doing?

I've not planned anything yet, going to just wait til Hayley is 6 month to start

Anyone get CONSTANLY 'aw he/she is a chunk! 'Look at the size of him/her!' It's starting to really piss me off. I think because S was so tiny when she was born and had now caught up people won't shut up about it. I know they don't mean it so harsh but how about replacing it with a compliment!

Hi all :)
I bought the MAM starter weaning kit from argos today £19.99 instead of £30 something.. I love their little designs! I'm not planning on weaning for a month or so yet though

Bex I'd have gone for the early start too, traffic will be better and I think Oscar will probs just sleep for the majority! Hope you have a lovely holiday and the weather is nice :D my mam goes on holiday tomorrow too!

I came on yesterday and been getting period pains argh! My periods are back to normal now as I came on last month on 3rd too.

Jen, Scarlett looks so grown up in her jumperoo! :D

I've still not had to put any teething gel on Stanley for 4 days now since he's had his anklet on, I do take it off for bath and bed though but he doesn't seem to be teething through the night anyway.

Think I'll defo get one then!! My friend has sworn by her boys necklace too. Thanks for the starter kit info too, gonna have a look x

Jen I used to get it with Stanley! Because I feed 'on demand' a term my mam wasn't familiar with.. I'm sure she actually believed I was over feeding him cos he was chunky as! we laugh about it now but it used to annoy me. And OH mam used to say similar things too  xx

I collected Hayleys amber necklace today, ended up buying from amazon so only paid 2.95 for it as I do shop and scan so got a free £10 amazon voucher.

Took it off as she's in bed now, really hoping it works...more so now as OH is soooooooo sceptical about it so would like to prove him wrong lol

I've read loads about them reviews etc and I haven't came across one bad review, apparently when the beads are warmed next to the skin they release oils that are absorbed into the skin which help sooth pain associated with teething, I was sceptical too at first but they are widely used across the Baltic regions and 4 days without teething gel must mean something! X

Fingers crossed then kaedin, need to prove him wrong! ;-)

Aw I find it so annoying Stacey cos it's the same people Everytime they see her. I don't take much personally but when it comes to her i do haha. They are both gorgeous babies anyway! ;-) x

Bex - did you try ranitidine for Oscars reflux? I know you tried a tonne of different stuff but my HV said that's what they give in yorkhill hospital but i should see GP as my local GP might be diff... Checked with my local pharmacy for the minor ailment scheme but said i'd need a prescription as she's 3 months, but anytime i speak to a gp they fob it off as "some babies are just sick". So don't really want to make another trip to the doctors for nothing

Austin's been prescribed ranitidine & gaviscon. Ranitidine didn't work on it's own but after having the gaviscon as well, he's now drinking the majority of his bottle & only a little bit of sick.

I remember Bex saying it didn't work for oscar but oscars sounded a hell of a lot worse than Austin's. Austin's problem was more the silent reflux

Oh yes Jen! All anyone ever says (besides about her hair still) is she's massive! What are you feeding her, blah blah blah

She's chubby and gorgeous - and what?! Lol

Ahh see Hayley is still quite sick, HV and GPs keep just saying to me "some babies are just sickly"...so I've started to just get used to it...TBH I stopped with the gaviscon most feeds as she has good and bad days with or without so would not give her medication if it doesn't really help...but my HV advised me not to change formula as it can also upset their tummy? So i've been feart to change incase it makes her reflux worse..? :wall2: But then I think if I change it might be infinitely better straight away...or could be worse ??

I'll phone for a GP appointment on Monday morning as I hate that shes being sick sooo many time a day for 3 months...surely can't be good for her throat ect!

Thomas is sicky but it doesn't seem to bother him. He's better on formula than he was on breast milk. Takes most of Ll of his bottles all the time and probably is sick rather than posset about once a day now. If they are settling and ok I'd say not to worry as they learn I sit up it should sort itself out. If they are uncomfortable and difficult to settle of preserve in getting something from the gp

Hayley doesn't have pain (except when she needs to burp during a feed or at the end) but she's sick every day at least a good few times a day...
I left it as I kinda thought it would settle as GP and HVs said...but it's not getting any better - but it's not worse! It's just bad & less bad days really. I've got to the stage its become normal.

Well!!! .....,, someone is awake every hour on the hour! Now having a bottle in our bed! This means he may sleep through the journey!

Renitidine didn't work - only because renitidine slows the amount of stomach acid produced - oscars main issue was not being able to hold as much milk down!

Now he's dribbling and teething we are eating sicky acid smelly burps so I may go back and ask for renitidine to stop it stinging his throat which I think it is

What kind of sick is it Hun? Is it lumpy and smells acidy? Or just like fresh milk? How long after a feed is she sick? Any signs of discomfort?

If you feel they Arnt listening - keep pushing - they are a nightmare so you have to push

How linked are your GP and HV? I used the ' my midwife advised me to come and get xxxxxxx prescribed '

Result! Thomas is still abit I'll (still coughing and snuffly) but he slept through till 7 this morning.

Normal service resumed. Downside is I had one class of red wine last night and now I have a headache

The joys of having no alcohol for so long!! Hope Thomas is better. For those on my Facebook look at the comments on the pic I put up of me and S yest.... Ok I get it!!!

Jen is this the one that's your profile pic? I'm looking but can't see comments on any photo of you both?

Is that you mil who wrote that? So bloody what! She's adorable! Tell her to p off! Lol xxx
