How are all you new mummies doing?

Just put together my new mountain buggy. Fingers crossed Emma likes this one. I love it already. Lies almost flat, window to look through when I'm pushing her. Extra shade thingy to save me sticking a muslin over with my pegs. Big basket tray thing at the bottom. Still can't believe they are on sale for £139!

Ps, m&s sale just got better. Ordered a bunch of muslins for £4 a pack!

Luke had some carrot, pArsnip and apple purée between bottles today (just a few spoons) - he wasn't quite sure but didn't spit it out or anything - I think it was the tang lol going to use baby rice with it tomorrow to take the edge off... Although his face was hilarious!!

He's still not quite sure what to do with the spoon so much but it's such anew skill

He's also got a tommwe tippee first sips cup and held it lovely to his mouth all by honestly - u just put some cooled boiled water in it to give him drinking practice

Toria, does it have a bumper bar?

Bumper bar as in the bit that goes in front of baby's waist? No it hasn't. Do you need one? I've got one on my mountain buggy cosmopolitan, and took it off. Was annoying me.

Just took Emma out for a walk in it. Love it. She never got sun in her face. Fell asleep really soon after we left, and was really easy to adjust to sleeping position. Can drive it with one hand too which is a huge plus for me as I can make all my calls while walking to school for pick up. Really struggling to figure out why its so cheap.

Also has air vents all over the place so she didn't get sweaty like she does in Her big pram.

I give Emma a spoon to hold while I get food in her mouth. She likes to stick that in her eye too!lol.

Are you making your own purée? If not, yesterday I discovered Hipp organic do pouches of purees mixed with baby rice! I'm so lazy.

I'm going to be making my own but I'm using pouches to see what tastes he likes - I'm just giving him food as a tasting exercise at the mo... Next is broccoli, peas and pear lol

Ella's kitchen do some baby rice pouches

Not really, I'm just obsessed by the fact my travel system doesn't have one.

I might get this, will talk to hubby as although I love what I've got it fills the boot of my Megane and it's not exactly the smallest car

I'm still waiting for 6 months. Thomas is nowhere near interested in grabbing food and fine on his milk plus I'm being selfish as we have a weddin at the end of this month and I don't want to faff with food then. I won't be able to avoid it at the one in August but that starts at 3!?!?! So won't have to worry about lunch

Need your expert help ladies!! Newquay is a good 3.5 hour drive away from us!

Oscar naps for 45 mins max ... We know we will have to stop for a feed etc - here's the options and time wise it doesn't matter for us but thinking of the easiest way to get there without all 3 having a mental breakdown!

Option 1 - get Oscar up at 7ish if he's asleep - knacker him out for 3 hours - bottle and leave the house as Oscar would have his morning nap - usually 40 mins to an hour ... Stop for lunch or as soon as he gets histerical - probably the latter determining it

Option 2 - get up at like 4am - get ready and final packing bits while he's asleep - quick dream feed and nappy change and head off like 5am with the intention of him sleeping another 2/2.5 hours as he normally would - then stopping off in services etc for abit if he wakes before getting to newquay first thing and having breakfast ... Walk around - then go good shopping before checking in to caravan?

I'm stuck - :( - Oscar does sleep in his car seat well - but don't think after a full 12 hour sleep he would entertain a 3 hour nap at 10am :/

Thank you to whoever recommended Eliza D Memory Maker!
Our bunny arrived today and it's fab!
Can't decide whether to keep it on her shelf or let her have it.

Cute!!

I'd depends if she's showing interest in it

Nat started it, they are so cute! I'm sending her suits off soon.

Aw Bex I would probs go for the knackering him out for 3 hours. I would be worried about a cranky baby from 4am if he didn't manage to drop off again. At least he has had a good run before you set off if you leave at 10 x x

I know he will drop off again ... That's not the problem and as it will be dark outside he will think it's night still

I just know he won't nap for more than an hour in car which means he will scream and scream in his car seat when awake as per usual :(

So difficult to decide what to do! GAH

At 4am it's light up here but personally I'd opt for the early start. Less traffic

If it were me I would leave at 10am, however' Hayley always falls asleep in the car for almost the whole ride (even if its' really long!). If she wakes, she tends to cry for little abit but would soon fall asleep again.

If Oscar wouldn't enjoy the ride, I'd be tempted for the 5am start.

That is soo cute!! How much does that cost?

I put Hayley in her walker earlier, as she's constantly wanting to sit up now (even though she doesn't have the strength just yet!) and she actually walked towards me!

Only one foot could reach the floor but she still managed to move towards me! Would upload the video but I've no idea how to. So proud of my girl, she's growing up so quickly. Before I know it she'll be running about the house causing trouble hehe
