How are all you new mummies doing?

Aw well done Hayley! Funnily enough we put S in her jumparoo today for the first time! She wasn't interested in the main animal but but loved a silly wee ball thing that spun!

4am is a distant memory that I like to block out and not return to again! Member when 4am used to be coming in from a night out? It's a whole new meaning! ;-)

4am start I say.

Do you sit in the back with him? Maybe you could play with him to keep him calm - thTs what I do when Luke is in the car and we stop... He does not like stopping lol

Yes it was me :-) I know no who runs Eliza d memory maker well I used to work with her they are brill I'm torn between a memory blanket or bunny?! Xxxx

He is inconsolable in the car seat! We have left the rear seats empty - I will sit in front - if I need to jump in back I will when I need to!

Decided on the 4am start!

I can change oscars nappy, feed him burp him and put him back down in his sleep - so will do this at 5.00!! ( us up at 4)

If he wakes before 5 for a bottle - will give him it - put him back down and just transfer him when ready to leave!

Pretty much packed - just got hair dryer and a few products to chuck in later this evening after a bath! Quite excited eeee

That is soo cute!! How much does that cost?

The bunny was £19 but if you like her fb page she does special offers every now and again.

that's good! i've just liked on fb...don't have any spare pennies at the moment but might try and sway OH after pay day haha looks really cute and such a great idea as otherwise i'd just be putting her clothes in a box but a teddy would be sooo much better

good luck bex! Hopefully it's dark and he'll continue to sleep so it's a peaceful journey for yous!

Hope the drive goes well for u Bexs n u have a fab hol.

Toria, does it have a bumper bar?

Bumper bar as in the bit that goes in front of baby's waist? No it hasn't. Do you need one? I've got one on my mountain buggy cosmopolitan, and took it off. Was annoying me.

Just took Emma out for a walk in it. Love it. She never got sun in her face. Fell asleep really soon after we left, and was really easy to adjust to sleeping position. Can drive it with one hand too which is a huge plus for me as I can make all my calls while walking to school for pick up. Really struggling to figure out why its so cheap.

Also has air vents all over the place so she didn't get sweaty like she does in Her big pram.

Not really, I'm just obsessed by the fact my travel system doesn't have one.

I might get this, will talk to hubby as although I love what I've got it fills the boot of my Megane and it's not exactly the smallest car

This one doesn't collapse like an umbrella stroller, but much smaller than my other one. I'll take a picture tomorrow to show you.

I've used it all day today and can't find any fault, other than maybe that it doesn't have a flappy bit that fold out for Emma's feed to rest on. But she's happy in it so maybe not an issue.
She was crying tonight actually, and I put her in it, and she went straight to sleep! Didn't even go anywhere!lol

My 8 year old pushed her all the way home up hill ( bout a 10 minute walk) from school, and found it easy.

Luke had some carrot, pArsnip and apple purée between bottles today (just a few spoons) - he wasn't quite sure but didn't spit it out or anything - I think it was the tang lol going to use baby rice with it tomorrow to take the edge off... Although his face was hilarious!!

He's still not quite sure what to do with the spoon so much but it's such anew skill

He's also got a tommwe tippee first sips cup and held it lovely to his mouth all by honestly - u just put some cooled boiled water in it to give him drinking practice

I give Emma a spoon to hold while I get food in her mouth. She likes to stick that in her eye too!lol.

Are you making your own purée? If not, yesterday I discovered Hipp organic do pouches of purees mixed with baby rice! I'm so lazy.

I'm going to be making my own but I'm using pouches to see what tastes he likes - I'm just giving him food as a tasting exercise at the mo... Next is broccoli, peas and pear lol

Ella's kitchen do some baby rice pouches

Good plan. At the moment Emma is loving the veges, but not so keen on the sweet fruit! Strange child.

I had a good look at the Ella's kitchen ones and couldn't find any with baby rice mixed in. Will check it out next time.

Good luck with the drive Bex! Just keep calm, and don't panic bout forgetting stuff. As long as you've got the baby, you can buy everything else you forget. Well, that's what I tell myself!

I recently went to a weaning class appointment, not sure if it's something every area has, but it was great. the lady started making about 6 different meals and they were all super quick and easy enough to make. i'd quite like ot make my own food for hayley at home once she's ready.

I've also signed up for the Cow and gate online stuff and theyve sent me out 2 different 5 step weaning guides with loads of recipes and exactly how to make food - seems really helpful

I think I've packed the sink aswell!

Estate loaded with a ram packed roof box! Just need the baby!! Lol

I'll drop in and say hello - you guys need to keep me entertained on my 3.5/4 hour journey 5-8am!

Bex - did you try ranitidine for Oscars reflux? I know you tried a tonne of different stuff but my HV said that's what they give in yorkhill hospital but i should see GP as my local GP might be diff... Checked with my local pharmacy for the minor ailment scheme but said i'd need a prescription as she's 3 months, but anytime i speak to a gp they fob it off as "some babies are just sick". So don't really want to make another trip to the doctors for nothing

I think it's hipp, but might be another one, who send our weaning booklets, they have quite good info in, including steps to follow and when to introduce new stuff and lots of vouchers and a free spoon! :) xx

i seriously need to get my reading on about this weaning stuff and make a plan of what i'm doing. i can't function without a plan and i feel totally out of control right now.
