Hi Daley, glad your back and everything is now ok. I'm so glad for you, can only imagine how much of a worrying time you had when all you want to do is enjoy the first days and weeks.

swear thomas has decided to go through sleep regression now. Its taken an hour to get him to sleep.

I've also been looking for next step entertainment. I'm thinking about get one of those bouncey walker things that have a suspended floor for when they are too small to touch the floor, but can then me taken out and eventually they can wheel around in it.

Talking of weight ladies, S was 14lbs 7 today!! Up onto the 75th centile from the 25th at birth!! Go her

Hubby not in the good books! Left the pre made bottles out cooling for an hour rather than the usual 10 mind before going into the fridge! Seriously considering chucking them out

Need advice ladies!

Hayley seems to have a bug, her nose is all blocked up so she's struggling to breathe. She keeps snorting and she's also got a cough. I took her temp. and she doesn't have a fever. We had an awful night last night, she didn't go to bed until 9pm, then woke at 11:45, 1:45, 2:45 and then slept until 6:30am. So we're both tired & grumpy

Is there anything I can do to help her blocked nose or cough? Should I get an appointment for the doctors?

She's struggling to take a bottle or dummy as she can't breathe through her nose I asked OH if I should take her to doctors but he said I'm just being paranoid, she'll be fine on calpol

Aww poor Hayley

Isabelle had a massive sick in the middle of her night feed last night. Getting her changed woke her right up and it took ages to get her back down as she just wanted to play!

Aw poor Hayley. Here are all the things we did for Scarlett's - saline nose spray from chemist, nose clearer sooky thing, raised her cot at one end with books under the legs, sit in bathroom with shower on and doors and windows closed for 5 mins and a bowl of olbas oil drops in boiling water in her room at night. They only help clear it tho at the time and it just comes back again so maybe get her checked at docs too if you feel. She still gets it a lot in the mornings even now cold is cleared!

Thanks Bex, yeah think I'm gonna keep them. I've asked around and everyone says it's fine. Phew!

Poor hayley, as Jen said we use the saline spray and some olbas oil and we have a fab calpol nightlight that we plug in n releases fab vapours that really really help him breath. The refills r expensive but so worth it.

Thanks ladies! I'll give all those things a go. Will head round to my local pharmacy when it opens to see what they can give us on the minor ailment scheme. Think that aspirator will really help her, then she'll be able to fall asleep without struggling to breathe! I think she kept waking as she was getting a fright as it's just so blocked

Just bought Hayley a amber necklace for her teething. Asked OH to do it last night as I don't have a PayPal but he refused saying they won't work. So I bought one from amazon myself

We're on day 5 of cold and this not sleeping through malarky is not the one. Could really do with a good sleep. On the plus side I managed to string him out last night so he didn't have a night feed. First one was at 6am this morning so hoping normal service will be resumed tonight!

Was thinking about getting a walker/rocker. But I'm now thinking about getting an activity centre instead for next month when he hits 6 months. He's just so interested in stuff now that the things that used to keep him amused for 40 mins now only last 10

We are at docs just now too. Remember S had the cold and it took weeeeeks to clear so they thought maybe it was an allergy in her room. Well everything has been fine again until 3 days ago and now every morning we are waking up to her choking, this goes on until we feed her. Hope they don't fob us off again!
