How are all you new mummies doing?

aw maud I hope things start to look up for you. I am going back full time as it is best for us. We are lucky to have be able to keep both the cars (although mine is paid as it is 7 years old now) so it is just my hubbys car on finance as it is only 2 years old. xxx

Morning girls. I wish we did rent then we wouldn't have the hassle of trying to sell our house. I just want to sell ours so we can move closer to my family but I give up. Unless we want to take £40-50k for our 2 bedroomed terrace house that is worth about £87k we have got no chance of selling it. I Honestly wish we could say to the couple living next door with her mum there is the keys to the house. The mortgage is paid and we could just move. I can dream. So pleased your house sold for you Bex xxx

Could you rent your house out and rent a house near family? X

We would only get about £300 a month in rent and the mortgage is £425 a month so we would be £125 a month out of pocket before we started. I wish we could Mrs B. It's a lovely house it is just in the wrong place. x

No you havnt offended me Jo! :) sorry of you think I was talking down to you like I say it really wasn't intended I was just saying how it is for us!

Anyway- had Oscar weighed this morning and he's dropped off his centile :( thought he had which is why I took him - HV isn't worried but he's having 3 meals a day

Porridge
Fruit ( now with abit of yoghurt )
Veg

She was adamant he can't have dairy it gluten for another 2 weeks -( when he's 6 months )

Shall I ignore and start getting him high fat into him? I don't want him dropping off centiles - he already dropped one because of his reflux if you remember :(

well it looks like we might have a tooth soon finally. I can just see the top of the tooth Yey xxx

Bex, what centile is he now? He looks healthy in all the pics. I tried Emma with a yoghurt the day she turned 6 months and she was quite mucusy after. Not sure if I should persevere or give it a break.

I would say don't worry too much bex as long as he's not dropping any milk feeds yet? I don't think they should be doing that just yet.

That's a shame mrs smith (sounds weird to say that but I don't know ur name lol) I spose unless u could find something to rent near family that's only £300 you would still be paying the same as now? X

Oscar has been fine on yoghurt - no tummy pain, sickness, rash or changes to his poo

He was born on 75th, dropped to 50th and is now heading towards 25th :/

Aww no Bex! What does he weigh now? To be honest I doubt just 2 weeks difference would really matter, so if you feel it would help him I'd go for it. If not at least it won't be long to wait x

I thought oscar was a similar weight to Austin when he was born & Austin was born 50th? Or a centiles considered different in different trusts?

I noticed that in Hayleys red book it says a kg is equal to 2.3 pounds, whereas both my mum and dad said it was 2.2. So i consulted with google and it says it's 2.2 pounds in a kg.

Hayley was just weighed as 7kg and they said she was 15 lb 6oz whereas if you do the conversion on google its 15.4 pounds? So I guess if difference health books have different conversions it could be a diff centile ? :eh:

Yeah Emma was 75th at birth, dropped to 25th, and now back up to 75th. So I've gone from worrying she's not feeding enough, to trying to slow her down.

Bex, what were you thinking of trying Oscar on? (Need ideas myself) If he's ok on yoghurt, he should be ok on other stuff.

I'm too scared to try finger foods :-/

i dont know what centile Luke is now but she said he was staring to drop off the centile but tbh i dont care what she says... hes eating healthy, hes sleeping, hes got loads of energy and is nicely in proportion.

luke has been on dairy and gluten in small amounts for the last week as he wont eat gluten free breakfast stuff so hes on the heinz stuff and hes been totally fine... my brother was on gluten from 8 weeks and he turned out fine.

i was looking at the readybrek vs the porridge he is on now and there doesnt seem to be a huge difference... i read it contained a lot of salt but it seems to have less salt and sugar (a lot less sugar) than the baby stuff

luke is on 3 meals a day (1 cereal, 1 veg and meat and 1 fruit) and is drinking about 32oz a day

Am at the end of my tether! Have been trying to get Isabelle down for a nap for 2 hours. Have tried cuddles, sitting with her, more cuddlea, leaving her, taking a break for a play, more cuddles, but she's absolutely exhausted and just screaming constantly now. Don't know what to do. Am meant to be at a group picnic :-(

Not sure nat Oscar weighed 7 14?

I was going to add abit of butter, veg with cheese sauce, cheddar cheese in his veg, carry on with yoghurts, cream cheese cauliflower/bakes

There's alot in the AK book :)

Jojo, are you making Luke's food? I have no idea what meat dishes to make. I've been mixing a meat based jar with my own mushed veges. Most the time Emma's ok with it, but has started spitting a bit out. Fussy already!lol

ive given up on naps... luke screams if i try to put hom down for a nap in his cot but ifi put him in his rocker with a dummy and his sleepy toy hes fine, but never for long. does she usually nap?

She usually would be onto her second by now. She cries when she's tired so has to nap, but she hates going to sleep. She has now screamed herself to sleep. Reckon I'm stuck on the sofa now.

ive been doing it the oposite way lol ive been mixing my own meat with veggie jars.

in the freezer atm i have pear and rusk (loves that!), strawberry and banana, but i also have been making mashed potato and swede and chicken and adding a little formula milk to it to thin it out a bit... he really likes that, i seem to have to stay away from tomatoes and red onion because it seems a bit too acidic for him.

im mainly on jars atm because theyre smooth - want to start adding texture but not sure how... he has some textured mango pots he does nicely with though.

my hv told me that textures is fine by now but its a scary business
