How are all you new mummies doing?

So would I jojo!! This sleep regression thing is sucking!! 430 this morning S started crying over monitor! Hubby settled her but now I'm wide awake :-(

I felt like you on sat jojo. 12 straight days of S by myself cos of hubbies work and she cried for an ages in the day and I just couldn't get her to sleep. I could feel myself being ready to burst! You think your getting somewhere and coping just fine and bam! a bad day hits you!

Hayley had a very strange sleep pattern yesterday. She slept for over 2 hours in the morning then was falling asleep really early, put her to bed at 6pm. She stirred a few times, but didn't properly wake until 5am, brought her into my bed and she slept until 7:30am. Then fell asleep at 9am for another 45 mins!!

My ex said she slept 8 til 7 with him the night before, but as she was soo tired i really don't believe him.

It's so hard to tell in this heat. Their sleeping patterns all seem to be a bit erratic!

Meant to say, good luck for today Bex x

I've left Luke's window open all day today in hope it cools it down for tonight.

Good luck Bex when do you return?

Fucking wankers :(

Will let me have Wednesday off but have to go from 40 hours to 32

They won't let me do 38 over 4 days ...

Oscars nursery is 40 a day and I earn 100 pre tax so financially he has to go to nursery

If I went to 32 hours I loose nearly 5k off my salary annually - so quick calcs show I'm 2k better off a year putting him in nursery :(

Hayley seems to have a heat rash, little spots on her body. She also got a rash as I used my mum & dads washing powder but it turns out to be a bio instead of non-bio so think it's irritated her :wall2:

Having a nightmare changing all my details. Been on the phone to Virgin media for about 3 hours in total as my ex cancelled my phone, so I was unable to just change the details so had to downgrade to a Pas as you go so it's not active for 24 hours then change the details to me and upgrade to a pay monthly Urgh. Been on to HMRC for Working & child tax credits and now Glasgow city council for my council tax and water charges as the letter has come through with me and my ex's name!! :wall2: So need to confirm he's not with me

Aw that's horrible bex! You kinda feel like your working to pay someone else to look after wee one eh?! It's a horrible thought to go back let alone full time. They could have been a bit more accommodating to you!

What a stress kaedin! I noticed S had a rash on her face today, must be heat too. I'm pretty sure I see wee bits of cradle cap too :-( HV will be here soon so got lots of questions for her! x

That sucks - I'm grateful that they allowed me to do what I wanted & it only took a week for the chief exec to authorise it. Quite surprised really coz afterall they employed me coz they needed a full time position to be filled.

Austin's cradle cap comes back time & time again! Annoying as hell

Wedding was great and Thomas was fantastic all day. He was a little star and everyone made a massive fuss of him. Didn't cry once all day, had a few cat naps and then went to bed at 9.30 and slept till 9am. I actually had to wake him as he was still fast asleep when we went to breakfast. Home now so time to relax before family lunch

Are you guys still seeing hv's at your house? I'm not now until thomas is a year old. Last time I saw one at home or for an appointment was when he was 8 weeks old

I have an appointment for mine to come out and have a natter about how we're getting on. But I don't think she'd come out if I hadn't asked to see her as they tend to assume you are ok if you don't ask for help.

I don't see mine again until a year I think. May be diff when i register with my old GP again.

Hayley also has a little bit of cradle cap, but i just shove some oil on it and it helps it to come away

I'm dreading this! If I go back fulltime it would leave neither of us really seeing her mon-fri as she'd be in daycare 8-6, with a 30 min commute either side of that. She'd get all 3 meals a day there so we'd literally be getting her up and dressed in the morning and putting her to bed in the evening. I just can't imagine living like that :-(

Bex that's crappy :( sucks you have to go back 5. Days a week :(

I sent my letter on via email today - they say I can have 3 weeks holiday so I'll be going back the week of 27th October so Luke will be 35 weeks so almost 8 months.

I'm hoping they'll except a flexi working system where oil work 3 weekday days at 8-2 and the next week the same plus a 14hpur shift on a sat or a Sunday and on 5 week months I'll make up by doing a 4 day week.

Hope they accept it - I've be flexi with them for the past 6.5 yard so I'm hoping hey return the favour

Oh and my hv saw me at 16 weeks for weaning chat and I see her about once a month for weigh in (my choice) but not till about 10 months I think she said

Last saw HV at home when Austin was a couple of weeks old. Seen her a few times in clinic. Next scheduled appt is yet to be made but will be around 7 months for Austin's u6-8mth assessment. She advised she isn't sure whether this will be at home or at clinic yet. Depends on their room allocations

Jojo, I've had that with Emma the 2 weeks before coming on holiday. Couldn't move away from her otherwise she would scream her head off. Found myself going to the supermarket just for 1 or 2 things as she likes the car and being out and about.

Bex, that's crap. Why couldn't they do the 4 days? Don't they have to have a good reason?

How's Thailand? We're having a nice staycation in the garden today :) neighbours are chatting to is (nice ones) planning a joint BBQ next week if weather is nice :)
