hospital trip today..

well i had really bad pains and tightening that were about 5 mins apart. also had swelling of fingers and feet and could see stars randomly... anyway off to labour ward attached to monitor tightenings with pain showing up baby is fine.. he did a internal had gas and air with that my word when not in labour its brilliant i was away lol

cervix is soft............ but not dialated

they can see the tightenings and that there strong, but sent home with painkillers and said we may see you tonight it could be the start of things.

but still not get excited it could be ages away still. xx

hate to deflate the mood, but my BH have been down to every 3-5 mins apart for over an hour a time & approx 2 mins in length....if this was my 1st baby I would have visited the hospital numerous times already thinking it was the real thing ....such a tease!

This is Smess's second baby. Midwife said to call when I'm having 2-3 contractions within 10 minutes, would this be right?

my first was just the same waters went then contractions started soon after. With my second it was days of constant contractions but random intervals, this one is more like 'textbook' with contraction length and intervals but suddenly stops again!

I called the labour ward to see if I was able to stay at home if mine didn't ease off as I don't wanna go in until I know I'm in labour.

Since about half 7 they seemed quite regular about 5-7 mins apart then eased.

Then I got 9 that were intensifying in pain, every 6-7 mins lasting for almost exactly 40 seconds each. The midwife told me that I would only have to come in if they were every 5 and lasting for a minute or so.

I had a bath to see if I could stop um and got a few in there but not painful. Been out the bath for half an hour and just got my first painful one again. Gonna get back on timing them again although something tells me this isn't quite it?? I feel closer tho!

@Honeyloops, would you not call in if they're that
Close and for that long? This is my second too.
