i think its a good idea actually :) i seem to remember that when i had me c-section ten years ago that they have to shave you - so if you have your own razor in your bag with a brand new blade in a tub thingy then in the event of them needin to shave you at least you'd have your own there they could use rather than a stubble inducing scratchy one blade disposable jobby ;) i gonna add my razor to my list! also if for any reason you have to stay in for a while afterwards at least you can make yaself feel all lovely n smoothe again ;) xxx

LOL.. ok.. im a little OVER prepared.. this time last year i was in hospital for 3 weeks when i thought it would just be a quick visit and i couldnt handle not having a razor! I have a thing about stubbly pitts!

As for the straightners.. i very much doubt i will be allowed to use them but i have two pairs so may aswell pop them in.. my hair is too short to tie back and goes very big when not straightened! again.. i think im just preparing myself incase i need a longer stay.. you never know!!

Yeah we are allowed a snack too!!

well havin made me list i couldn't wait til tomorrow so have packed the baby's bag completely and halfway done mine...

I've packed two sets of different sized clobber for little man - one lot is first size up to 7.5lbs and the other lot is bigger... just done two vests, two sleepsuits and a going home outfit and a cardigan in each size, 2 pairs of socks, booties, 2 hats n two pairs of scratch mitts...

I feel like such a noob! I never got to do this with my boy cos we was rushed into hospital at 32 weeks and i had prepared nothing - tis lovely int it packin up ya bags :D :D :D

i made up the moses basket in our room too and have got it all covered over with a big duvet cover now so don't get dusty :) all ready pretty much! :D

Fly after looking at your list I was wondering what size bag you have? hee hee  How do you fit all that in?!

I started packing my bag today but beginning to think I'll need a suitcase!!!!

I've been told that I'll have to be kept in and stay in the transitional care unit but no-one will tell me how long it might be for so I have no idea how much to pack lol. Gonna have some stand-by bags packed at home so OH can be told get bag no 2, bag no 3 etc at least that way I'll know what he's bringing me in!

I've made a list of bills and will be bringing them in (payment cards etc) so that I can make sure I get back home before the bailiffs :rotfl: Also bringing mine and OH cash machine cards in with me.... otherwise God knows what junk he'd buy in my absence!

I do like to be organised, can ya tell lol

i have actually started mine today, i keep having visions he is going to come early and i couldnt stand going to hospital without having anything ready so i washed the babys clothes i am taking today, wanted to wash them even though they are new as i keep seeing that advert saying new does not mean clean. I have my wash bag sorted and everything else is easy to get so will prob pack it all up properly next week. i know its early but i just sense hes going to be early. if hes anything like his mum he is impatient so will want to come into the world early lol.

I have packed newborn size and 0 - 3 months as i am a big girl he may be a big baby, but if he is early he may need newborn lol, i like to be prepared.

I haven't even thought about my hospital bag yet!! now I'm 30 weeks +, it might be a good idea!

thank you so much ladies for this topic, its going to be a life saver!!!!

aww I can't wait to meet LO! :D
