no and I badly need exactly that!! Having a bit of a meltdown and cant decide what to get and what I actually need. On the back of the mothercare catalogue they do have a bog list but its very generic and lots of things you dont actually need.

There was an exellent thread on here a couple of weeks ago, it pretty much covered everything! I'm sure its possible to look back in the archives.

Brilliant thanks, you dont have a link to what is needed at home do you?

I 've pretty much used one of the lists in the various baby books/brochures but if you have any friedns or relations that are recent Mums, ask them to go through what you've already got and they will tell you what else you need, what you shouldn't bother with etc. My friend has just been over to visit me and has done this and it was great! I now have a short list of essentials I need for when baby first comes home, then I can get the other bits as and when I need them!

I keep thinking its too early to be buying stuff for my hospital bag but then I remember its only 8 weeks away :o

Babies R Us have a detailed list on the back of their catalogue :)

It was my husband who suggested we ought to start packing! He seems to be taking the whole thing very seriously! I'm not complaining, it's a god job that one of us is responsible!

Hi

Been thinking of doing this myself, with Kiara i was packed by 32 weeks.
Just need to buy a new diaper bag, and figure out what outfits i want to bring with me. I have a list in one of my baby books.
Just dont forget things for yourself :)

I would say take things that make you feel relaxed and comfy, pictures of loved ones, a favourite pillow, favourite CD or book, its your experience and you need to feel safe and happy no matter what room you are in for birth  Also don't forget your camera/camcorder, phone numbers, change for payphone if in hospital, snacks for you and birth partner too so no-one has to go looking for food :)

I took 3 bags in just in case i stayed in more than a couple of days. Had labour bag with drinks, girls dont forget drinks as the gas and air really dries your mouth, lucozade is best for extra energy. Had basic stuff in for me and baby like clothes, pads n stuff.

Had ward bag with smuggled food, clothes for baby, nappies etc and going home bag. Hospital did comment if i thought i brought enough stuff
