Home birth all go!

Well community midwives have just left and I'm all go for home birth! Yay! Box has arrived-it has all the lovely stuff you get at hospital like incontinence sheets, catheters, gloves, canulas, suture kit etc etc in it x bump is measuring at 35 cm which tbh I'm not surprised about as with him dropping it's made bump look small but they aren't concerned x we went through what's available for pain relief and what they'll need x the biggest surprise was that he's 3/5 engaged! Complete shock though does explain the pelvic pain I had last night! I'm all set now! Come on Seb! Lol x

I can't believe I'm 37 weeks! Where did time go?! It's the first of October next fri!! Can you believe it?!

Im so pleased that i have made it so far all i want now is to reach that 37 week mark and he can come when hes ready!

October has come to quick! but its exciting!

awww if i can choose tho i want to wait to atleast 39 weeks as we found a house we like so if everything goes our way we will be moving very soon!
but i cant and he will pop out whenever he wants!

i hope seb comes soon for you, who knows he might be here this week

I text OH and told him and he was like 'omg! Does that mean he can come like now?!'! I was like well he could but I doubt it unless I miraculously have no contractions! Lmao! He text me saying he's shaking with excitement now! I hope he comes soon I can not wait to meet him! Lol! Woke up in quite a bit of pain last night which I was like 'omg is this it?!' but I knew it wasn't. Must of just been him shifting down! I'm really achy now after mw had a prod! They're so rough!

Ooh Helen I have lots of questions for you.

I thought if you went into labour before 38 weeks that they'd make you go to hospital? But you're ok now to have Seb at home any day?

This box you got, never heard of it. Did you ask for it? I've been researching buying plastic backed sheets and stuff but if I don't need to then great.

Are you borrowing a pool too?

Here you're classed as full term at 37 weeks so if I went into labour now I could have him at home.

The box is supplied by the community midwife team. I didn't ask for it, they just bring it with them. It has quite a few 'incontinence' sheets and pads in but I'd still buy a plastic sheet if I was you. We have got two 'mattress protectors', one for the bed, one for the lounge where I want to give birth and also loads of towels, bedding that we no longer use or want, pillows we no longer use or want etc

We're not renting or buying a pool.
