So im telling mom today .. (she doesnt no yet) ..
Im only 20 so prettttty worried to her reaction..
Whats the worst she can say right?
I have my own place still with the baby dad and work as a support worker so have the stability .. Just reallllly scared
Dont want her to be dissapointed xx

Oh bless you, I was petrified about telling my parents.... I am 24 and I thought they would think I was too young but they were so pleased!

Your clearly settled so I am sure you will be pleasently suprised.

I am going to tell my mum (hopefully) after my scan on Thursday and I'm abit worried too I'm 40 and this will be no6 , so it doesn't get any easier I'm afraid, I like to do it with the scan picture, I best make sure she sitting down though as she's an oap now .xx

I'd wait till after the scan, i'm only 20 to. Been with my OH 3 years, got a house, good jobs etc. But knew my family would be fine! It was the in laws i was concerned about. MIL went mad and cried. Now like 25 weeks later she can't wait.

even if she reacts badly she will soon come round, its her Grandchild at the end of the day

IM 24 and baby was unplanned, im not with the dad but i do have a good job and my own place. My mum was sooo disappointed at first but shes soo excited now and cant wait xxx

I'm 29 and married, with a planned pregnancy and I was scared to tell my mum and inlaws! Lol

I'd be inclined to wait till after scan ... deflect any negativity there might be with a cute baby pic! lol

im 20, unplanned, not with dad, other things going on which makes it really not the best time for a baby, and my mum freaked at first! she is now getting really excited, the whole family is! people (mums especially) cant resist the idea of a new baby!!!

i agree with tweetyfoo, have the scan first to show a cute baby pic, usually deflects most negativity!!!

I was more scared about telling my OH's parents, as we lived with them at the time when we got our BFP!
They were over the moon, and then we went and told my parents the day we found out too, and I was petrified of telling my dad more than my mum!
He's always been like "you should save your money just in case blah blahh" so I thought he'd go on that one, but he was over the moon, and so was my mum!

Tbh, it's not like they can do much really is it!?
It's your choice, your life, and you seem pretty settled .
