hmmm maybe i have had af's?!

as the title says im considering that maybe i have had af's since the mirena came out, my sister is a nurse and has been asking around and someone said that as the 2 episodes of brown sludgeyness were 32 days apart that that could have infact been my af's after all...........so after hearing this iv been hunting about for info online and it would seem that the mirena works by thinning your lining hence me having no af at all on the mirena once it settled in. what do you all think? possible or not? im thinking about firing up my fertility monitor 2moro and setting it as cd 5 (had the brown sludge mon and tue) and seeing where it gets me. cant do any harm! iv also started a new chart on tcoyf and ordered the book! we shall see!

my gp was useless! iv had all my bloods done, he says there normal and has refered me to a gynea doc. waiting for it to come through..............im still not convinced that its not just from the mirena 2bh but he simply says 'could be' lol we shall see xxxxx

With me I didn't see my usual GP but saw the GP who specialises in gyno and fertility issues - she was amazing!

no its not a big practice, think theres 3 partners, my doc has been liasing with a gynea doc over the phone about me and he has ran out of tests to do i think hence the referal to the hospital lol xxx

I had the marina coil, the coil does not stop you ovulating so even if your af is very light of funny Colour don't worry you still should have ovulated, fire up the monitor and keep a check, my cycles went back to normal after the 3rd month from what I can remember. I do remember getting very light brown spotting before it went back to normal. Good luck

hi sparkles! its good to hear of another mirena user lol iv started with the monitor assuming that the brown sludgy spotting was af (it was tinged with peachy red on the 1st day so im hopeful!) so im cd7 today! managed to cock up yesterday and missed my 1st testing window but the book says to just carry on and it will mean extra possibly fertile days..................im still doing my temps and cm too so i hope i ovulate, thought i had ovulated previousley but im not sure as it didnt seem to coincide with the little af's! here goes to a new cycle wish me luck lol

You should ovulate as normal as I said with the marina you still ovulate every month not like the pill or other contersiptive's.

FF said i ovulated in my '1st cycle' but it would mean i had a luteal phase of 30 days!
