HG and NVP thread

Hi Girls,

Sorry kanga ur feeling rubbish :( It really is a horrid thing pregnancy! I know not heaving at dinner was a real acheivment! Small things in life ah!! Jem glad that they signed you offit must be a relief now to know that if you have a bad day you can just stay in bed and hide. I think the worst thing is worrying about it all the time. Thinking I have to go into work feeling this shit doesnt help at all. So atleast the pressure is off now. I have got my 20 week scan nxt tuesday and im bricking it now! I still only get occasional flutters nothing that I would say is def the baby just scared they will say somethings wrong :( xxx

Yeah I am glad, I've been sick today a few times.

Ooo exciting about scan! I was shitting it at mine, wish I had, another scan to look forward to lol, so tempted to book a 3d one but hubby said no.

Aww I remember the flutters, I described it as feeling like I'm in a car going over a big hill. Think I felt my first proper boot bout 23 weeks.

Xx

Jem is your maternity leave still starting at 36weeks? They can only make you start it 4 weeks early can't they if your off sick? I would keep an eye on baby, but she could just be having a quiet day. If still quiet tomorrow maybe phone up?

I only work nights because dh works during the day and we can't afford any childcare.

Not sure about finding out the sex, thinking not this time. We found out with harry as I was desperate for a boy, but I still was so torn about my decision and wish I waited. This time I'm happy with either a girl or boy and have names for both, I think I'm having another boy though.

Good luck with your scan next week keep trying I'm sure everything is fine with baby. Think it took a while with harry to feel definite flutters and movements. I think I may have felt 2 pops from baby yesterday at 14+4wks, but nothing since. I was 16+ weeks with harry for the first random pop feelings. xx

Just read my pregnancy journal from Harry, I still wasn't getting regular feelings of movements at 19 weeks, but at 20+ weeks they were definitely baby feelings! but still not regular even then xx

Yeah still starting at 36 weeks, I think they can bring it forward to 34/35 where I work but spose that's no bother.

I may look at nights when baby's bit older, most places pay ok for nights, we also can't afford childcare.

I had a bath and fell asleep for a few hours, have only just woke up. Feeling quite rough today, sicky and really thirsty :-(

I have mums homemade fish pie for dinner tho so Yumyumyum hope that will make me feel better.

Xx

Thanks kanga that's good to know. Hope I feel bub soon getting impatient! Jem it's nice when u don't have to cook, I hate cooking at the moment I used to love it can't bring myself to go near the fridge at the moment. I'm still only part time don't think I see myself going bk full time til after baby is born now. Has anyone got any big items yet like pushchair? Xxx

I also used to love cooking but struggle even now, I used to spend hours in kitchen at wkds but just can't face it now.
Me and hubby are in process of choosing pushchair atm, my parents are buying us it. I like the cosatto ones but hubby doesn't, I also like babystyle prestige but hubby likes the graco tour de lux. Decisions decisions!

I just need to get that and moses basket then a couple of bits and bobs like changing matt but other than that we all ready, been buying stuff weekly to spread out cost.

What about u have u got anything?

Xx

I have quite a few bits from having Harry, but still need to get a double buggy as Harry will only be just over 2 and my 3yr old niece still uses hers so think it is a must. Plus Harry will be getting upgraded into a toddler bed and baby will have the cotbed. But we still have bouncy chair, baby swing, play gym, high chair, bumbo seat and clothes all from Harry. Obviously if we have a girl we will need to swap our blue clothes for girly ones :) I think they are the only 2 big items we actually need to get.

How many weeks are you now keeptrying? Do you have any ideas for pushchair? We have the baby jogger city mini and will be getting the double of the same as I love it too much lol xx

Just saw Jems post, we also need to buy a new newborn car seat as I dropped ours of Harry's plus a crib or mosesbasket for baby to use in our room before going into the cot in their own room xx

Ahh that's exciting! Must feel really real having baby stuff in the house. I still haven't brought anything waiting for my scan on tues then I think il go mad! Kanga double buggy sounds fun! It must feel weird knowing Ul have two little ones running around soon! I'm 19 weeks now so got scan tues! Really scared now!we said that after the scanwe will go baby shopping so that's something to look forward too. Been really sick this morning :( staying in bed watching towie I think! Xxx

im excited for u keeptrying! I was really nervous before my 20 week one then when u see baby on screen ur like omfg. its bizarre!
we plan on going to get buggy end of april with my parents o I think ill get my last few bits then. my changing bag is a baymoov one I love it!

ive already watched towie lol, husband says he hates it but once its on he joins in bless him.

im feeling pretty pants today, got a bad headache, just had a sweet cup of tea so im hoping im not sick.

xx

I think I'm in denial about having another newborn to bring home and reuse all Harry's stuff! At the mo quite a bit is in the loft, so all the teeny tiny stuff is out of sight out of mind type thing lol think once I bring it all down and buy the double buggy then it will feel scarier lol

We didn't buy anything for Harry til just after our 20 week scan, we got a few blue bits and cot bedding in the sales. But then I don't think I bought anything else til I was over 30 weeks, I was off work from 32weeks so had plenty of time to get organised. It is very surreal buying all the bits for the first time, but so exciting :)

Sorry your not having a good day today, I don't blame you for staying in bed relaxing. I feel better than yesterday but feel exhausted and sicky. Meant to be going out later to see a friend, but not sure if I'm up to it yet. Although I do need to get out the house with Harry really xx

Jem I have two baby moov changing bags :) I have both sizes lol I love them xx

I was like a kid in a sweet shop when it got delivered! got a blanket, changing mat thing, and 3 lil bags with it. not sure what size ive got, its quite big, its creamy, grey and redy polkadots! Tesco doing baby event so I got its for £34 :)

how u feeling today kanga?
xx

I think that's the smaller one, did it just have the bottle holder? The bigger bag has a food bag rather than the bottle holder. I use the big one for the hospital and staying over at family and if I'm out all day and need toys, food and changes of clothes. But I use my other one on a daily basis. £34 is a good price, I'm not sure how much I paid for mine now. I have 3 changing bags at the mo and hubby has said I can get a new one for the new baby :) probably get another baby moov one, just a different colour. My big one is a bit beaten up so it would be good to get a new one and I think I will need the big one for harrying around two lots of stuff lol

I'm a bit better today, head is still a bit achey but nothing compared to yesterday. I just feel exhausted today and have no energy, going out this afternoon to see a friend and I can't be bothered to move off the sofa or get dressed lol xx

im not sure, it says its a food insulated bag? and a dummy bag and a clear plastic bag. glad ur feeling okay today :) and be nice for u to get out the house. do u have any plans for mothers day?

xx

Added some pics of the two , from when I did a comparison for someone else :) plus the food bag xx

Ahh I saw the baby moov changing bag and I really want one too! We r going to go to a place in uckfield that's an independent baby shop but has loads of prams and baby things so looking forward to them. Jem my husbands the same with towie he secretly likes it! So far I've watched towie, teen mom 3! Obem and now this morning! Haha what has my life become! Xx

We don't have any plans for Mother's Day I don't think. Going out for a meal with the in laws on the Saturday as a Mother's Day thing as Mother's Day is too expensive. Last year I bought the cream baby moov changing bag as my Mother's Day present and my own flowers as DH was really ill. xx

I will be watching teen mom 3 in a bit once Harry goes down for a sleep :) xx
