here we go again!!

Keep rested hun and go get checked out, its what they're there for.
Hope he keeps cooking for a while longer. x

Oh and ring the hospital back and tell them about the lump of jelly. there may have been a change to your cervix and you're still in that bracket under 36 weeks

Text me, I may be asleep but I'll pick it up first thing chick

The race is on between you and Lisa, all the ranting you done about being the only April mum

thankyou hun! i'll look out for these then i wasn't sure how it'd be.

by the sounds of the blob i'm thinking he may make an appearence soon too! maybe phone midwife again to be on the safeside? my mum had something like this when she went toilet when she was pregnant with little brother and she didn't come back from hospital! good luckkkkkk :D xxx

:puke: @ jellytypestuff! ergh i remember that from being in labour when its proper like bloody and mingin! i reckon little lucas could very well make his entrance quite soon! ooo wonder if he'll be here by the morning? make sure you ring the hosp again if they keep up hun xxxx

Morning ladies. Well i went into hospital and they put me on the monitor again and once again it showed i was having contractions every 8ish minutes. They said they were to regular to be BH. Lucas' heart trace was good and they gave me an internel (just love it when they do that!.....NOT) my cervix is stll posterior and 1cm dilated. There was more jelly which they confirmed was a show. They sent me home with codein and instructions to rest. Lucas is extremely active and they think its an irritable uterus as the pain has been going on for days now with no real change to my cervix. My bump is now measuring 39cm's so they suspect he is a big lad and might not hang around much longer. I have a growth scan booked in 2 weeks.

So its just a waiting game, either wait for the pains to stop, or wait for Lucas to arrive. You watch i bet i still go overdue even after all of this palava xx

Glad everything is ok hun. I know he's a big un but he's still better off where he is for a while longer. There's a big difference in babies between 35 and 37 weeks so feet up as much as possible.

x

sorry I missed this last night, hope everything turned out alright! xxx

doh, missed page 2! Glad you're home and settled! Are you still having contractions?

aww sounds like such palava! (that's the only word to describe it, lol) but at least you got all checked out and stuff and everyhting seems to be doing ok.. a growth scan in 2 weeks tho!? i hope you don't go into labour before then! enjoy resting while you can and keep an eye on everything! even tho i'm sure it's not hard to do that when you're in pain! love love xxx

Morning toon, glad you got checked out. How are you feeling now? Have the contractions eased yet? Hope you manage to get lots of rest xx

the contractions haven't really eased infact some of them are getting quite painful. I'm feeling really fed up, i can't keep off the loo and i feel a bit sick. I was gonna pop to the shops and run a few errands but i really don't feel up to much. I have rang OH and he's coming home to help look after our LO xx

When do they give steroids for their lungs Toon - do you know? I think if it's not letting up I'd be pushing for that hun

x

they've never mentioned steroids chick, should i have had some? xx

Mamafy will know better. I think they give them to mature their lungs if they are threatening to come early, which to me he clearly is.

When I've had the steroids I've had them at 24 weeks and 30 weeks (last time), with Joe at 27 weeks, never got time with Cara, with Gemma at 34 weeks.

The surfactant level at 35 weeks will be good but even when amnio's are done before 37 weeks the lungs can still be under developed.

I think I'd contact your MW hun and ask for them. You've obviously got a few red flags up now that Lucas could come early. You'll need to get 2 doses 24 hours apart so in theory you'd need to get the first lot today and then 24 hours later another set.

Thanks chick. I'm thinking about ringing the hospital back today, the codein is making me feel crap and i really am fed up now :( xx

Definatly phone hospital back chick!! I hope he's ok and you are too! x

Just catching up on this whole thread - Hope you start feeling better, and that Lucas settles down for you so he can cook for a few more weeks. Those steroid injections are big in your bum ones I seem to remember, but realy worth it for the babyX

 i'd get on the phone to the mw and just ask hun, no harm in asking and seeing what she says
