Heating temperature?

what temperature do you usually have your cantral heating on? i am sitting with mine at 22 but its still freezing! the radiators are roasting though! dont know whats wrong!

Are you losing heat somewhere? if you dont have good insulation then it doesnt matter how hot your radiators are the heat will just dissapear

We usually keep ours set at around 18 in the winter and turn it up to 20 when we feel a chill. If we feel realy cold the fire goes on.

We do have old air vents upstairs that we need to get sealed off, these really bring the temperature down. Also we didn't have carpet down in the sitting room, it was just the floor tiles. We've put down an old rug which has only made a slight difference but it's enough that we haven't needed to put the fire on since.

Having said all that, we're not accustomed to having heating so we tend to put socks and jumpers and stuff on first before pumping up the temperature.
