Heartburn - I'm in agony constantly :-( Please help

I think I'm going to have to see the dr too Iv had heartburn throughtout but the past few weeks have been worse. Iv had 3 hours sleep tonight because of it and at 2am this morning threw up my lovely Thai birthday meal xx

I've had it terrible with my other 3 pregnancies and went through bottle after bottle of gaziscon but with my 3rd the doctor put me on them acid tablets the same as the lady above and omg it was soooooo much better can't believe I suffered so much the first 2 times xxx

Definitely go to the Dr Pos Omeprazole is brilliant, I feel amazing - I can't believe I let it go on so long! You only have to take one tablet a day and then you need no gaviscon or anything. I think it just stops the acid production (or reduces it). Thats horrible that you had it after your birthday meal Happy Birthday - best present you can get is definitely Omeprazole - it works immediately.

I think I may go to the doctors and get some! I think my recurring sickness is related to the heartburn as it's not happening all the time but I get a burn sensation which then sometimes lead to me just having to be sick. Last night was horrible as had been to work with OH on the Waggon and we had to pull over on the side of the road in horizontal rain and gales ! Times like these make me can't wait to no longer be pregnant!

My friend took omeprazole and said it really helped. A good trick is to put some pillows/yellow pages/etc under the head of your mattress to keep your head elevated during the night as well as lots of pillows x

omeprezole is the best thing ever, i have acid reflux when im not pg so every so many months i will get an attack and have to go get a months supply. since being pg they wont give it to me so im managing on gaviscon for now but its not been too severe yet. when i have attacks i have to eat small amounts and suffer as an empty stomach works just the same as eating spicy stuff or being too full. im hopeing if it gets bad towards the end they will give me my pills lol
