Have I missed the April mummys thread?

I'm here! I think most of the April mummies are on the FB thread, I don't know if we have a tri 3 thread in here - would be nice if we did though! x

I'm also an April mummy And would love a thread to join. The tri 2 thread was very quiet, again I think because most are on FB instead :(

I take it FB is facebook? Well, lets make this our own little thread. When are your due dates?

Yes, it's Facebook. We can have our own thread too!

I'm due 23rd April so 30 weeks tomorrow. It's gone quite quick so far! I'm having another little boy, I've already got a son who will be 21 months when this one arrives. What about you two? x

I'm due 12th April so just under 9 weeks to go. Got a little girl who is nearly 2 & we are having a boy this time :) Feels like its gone quicker than it did with my first but really starting to feel big and tired now!

Hi ladies, I'm due 10th April with my second daughter. My first is turning 9 next month, so quite a big age gap. Loving the 2nd pregnancy experience, much less worrying this time around!

Did you both have most of your baby stuff from your first babies? I've had to start again, as we kept everything for quite a few years and then decided to start getting rid of it (thinking we weren't going to have anymore). Haven't gone silly this time around though!

I was originally in the April mummy thread, like the other girls have said they all moved over to a private Facebook group and haven't seen any activity here from them since, glad you've found some more April mummies!

I've got nearly everything from my first and it helps that it's another boy! I need to buy a new cot as my lo will still be in his and don't want to move him out too soon as new baby will be disruption enough. I need a new mattress for my next to me crib and a new pram (can't decide on any of the double prams as I don't really like them!). I'm debating whether to buy a new perfect prep machine as mine has been out of action for a while and I don't think you can clean it properly. Other than that though I should be able to reuse most things! x

I kept everything but need more clothes as everything bought for us was pink & girly! Got the main bits & moved my girl into a proper bed so we can use the cot & nursery when he arrives. I'm going to aim for a buggy board & sling rather than double buggy.

Can completely understand why neither of you fancy a double buggy. It's difficult enough to get around some shops with a single! They're so expensive too.

Have you got where you plan to give birth sorted yet? In my local area they now have a midwife led unit (which didn't exist when I had my first). We went for a tour a few weeks ago and I loved it - husband wasn't as keen though. Ideally, this would be my first choice when the time comes. However, I'm getting a private Group B Strep test done at 36 weeks, and if it's positive, I will have no choice but to go to hospital. I did the same with my first and unfortunately it was positive- but, they've said that this doesn't make it anymore likely to be positive this time around.

Hello!

Yeah everyone went over to FB, I have gatecrashed the March mummy thread haha!

Have an almost 4 year old girl and we are team yellow again this time. I had a very vivid dream this morning that I had a boy though! We're having trouble deciding on a boys name we both like

Still got pram, which we will get a buggy board for (DD is very excited about this haha), still got cot etc. Going to see what state moses basket is in and decide whether to buy whole new one or just new mattress.

This whole pregnancy has whizzed by!!

Rainbow - I had GBS last time so will definitely get checked again this time. We are going for hospital regardless though.

Rainbow, we r going for a hospital birth, just want to have doctor nearby just incase. With my first I was only in labor for 4 hours then pushing for 3 so if things go how a lot of people say, this one will be quicker! Just want to make it to the hospital as it can take an hour if you get caught in the wrong traffic!

Hey April mummies to be - all gone quiet on here again. Hope everyone is well?

Had a busy week, DD's birthday during the week and have been doing lots. Ended up going to hospital on Thursday night as was concerned about reduced baby movements. Only there about an hour and thankfully all was fine.

Have decided to try to slow down and rest more. I've still got a few more weeks at work, so I need to give myself a break. I have had a very good pregnancy so far, so have just continued as if I'm not, but not sure this is helping at this stage.

Need to get a few bits to complete my hospital bag - interestingly, it's only stuff for me I'm missing not for baby. I don't hesitate to buy things for baby, but struggle to justify buying things I need, silly really isn't it?

It's all becoming a bit more real now - eek!

Been busy with my little one's birthday this week too! Still at work, just over 5 weeks to go, eek! Harder this time round & kinda would like baby to make an early (not premature) apperance!!

Hello, yes it's very quiet on here!

I'm in my last week at work! Wednesday is my last day :cheer: :cheer: :cheer:

Oh man, has anyone else got major foof pressure?! Fanny daggers galore here. This morning I was getting lower back pain on and off it was weird - hoping I get at least a week off work before this kid makes an appearance!!

4 weeks left in work and then I'll be 37 weeks!! I'm getting majorly uncomfortable now, bump is sore by the end of the day and even movements are a bit uncomfortable sometimes - this baby feels like it's all elbows and knees! Didn't feel like this last time but I am much bigger this time so finding it harder. I've had a few fanny daggers too.

Not even thought about hospital bag yet. I'm going to get all my sons newborn and up to 1 month clothes out and washed this week and start ordering the few essentials I need - new mattress for my next to me crib, another car seat base etc. I'm on the lookout for a second hand double pram as well, don't want to spend hundreds on a double and then my first decides he wants to walk everywhere.

How is everyone getting on? I'm 38+1 and getting the odd twinge here and there!
