Hiya, same thing has been happening to me recently, i went through a phase of waking up in the morning with a very very hard belly, it would ease throughout the day and then sometimes get hard again and ease again before the night

Its a very very good sign that your abdominal muscles and uterus are preparing themselves for labour, it is in fact like a loooong braxton hicks :)

I found it very uncomfortable, waking up with a hard belly of hardness and having to get out of bed with that to contend with (and the customary bladder of wee) but its apparently very good for you so hey ho!

Im hoping hes not preparing to come to early though i need him to stay in aslong as possible if i do get braxton hicks ive not felt them i dont think. its just wierd one minute me belly soft an the next minute its hard but i cant feel him so hes not wriggling or stretching lol x

i spoke to my midwife about it last week and she said its perfectly normal and a really good sign that the body is preparing for birth, not that its going to happen any quicker or anything like that, just that it is toning and preparing for when it does happen.

so im not suppose to be getting any pain at the moment then? i do feel him wriggling round but not when my belly goes rock hard and then soft its done it a few times today which i thought these were braxton hicks but without the pain or something like that lol x

i think general niggles and twiggles are quite normal, i keep getting a pinching feeling in my pelvis and around the back of my bladder but i am sure its just normal baby moving/preperation stuff

your baby should still be quite high though, dont think they usually drop until the 34th week or sometimes even later if its your second or third child x
