Getting to know you

Hi all

I was originally on the forum in 2011 when i was trying for my 1st baby, I was very lucky and fell pregnant on the 2nd month off my pill. My daughter is now nearly 6 years old and I've decided with my new partner (of 14 months, who is a fantastic dad to 2 daughters of his own) to try for baby number 2 .

I have 2 days left on my pill and then my ttc journey begins. 1st time round my cycle was 37 days off the pill, I'm assuming it won't be the same 2nd time around, just have to wait and see. Also assuming as I'm older now (34), that my BFP most likely won't happen as quickly this time round.

Very excited to begin the ttc journey as a 2nd baby would complete our family, will be amazing for our daughters to share a sibling.

Wishing you all lots of luck with your ttc journeys! x

We were pregnant at the same time last time!

It's crazy, I've spotted a few people on here from when i was on here in 2011! X

Goodluck Em! :dust:

Thank you! Have actually decided to stop my pill now, let the ttc journey begin! X

This is such an exciting time for you! I'm keeping my FX that you are one of those super lucky ones who conceive in the first cycle post BC :dust:

What can I say... always the optimist :ttc:

Aww thank you, that would be amazing, but I'm pretty sure it will take a bit longer this time as I'm 34, but you never know!

Hope you get your BFP very soon! It's truly magical having your first baby. X

I was here 1st time 2013/2014. My lb is now 3. During my last pregnancy my husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer and was going through treatment.
We have now decided to try for number 2. We are unsure if things have returned to normal after his chemo but apparently less than a 10% chance that things haven’t returned to normal. He had swimmers frozen but if we needed to use them we would have to pay for the treatment. We have decided to leave it up to fate.
It took me 5 months to fall the last time and expecting longer since I’m getting on a bit.

Sorry to hear about your OH, but amazing news he is ok.

Just wanted to say, my dad also had testicular cancer and my mum and dad had 4 of us - dont think he wanted that many tbh  but what my mum wants, she gets.

So my mum did AI with the first two, although they think the first took ok, but my dad and bro wont ever test, as to my dad and bro they are blood, no questions asked.

Second child is definately AI so sperm from another man.

My sister and i are both natural and in this time, my dad only had one working ball and my suffering from anorexia - so anything is possible and your OH has all the chance in the world imo.

She had 6 kids in total

good luck :dust:

Ladies, as it's been a while, I just wanted to check something, so I took my last pill on Monday which is then usually then followed by 7 day break of no pill and AF during this time, do I count 8th day of no pill as cd1? Thanks

CD1 is the first day of bleeding

Even if it's the pill bleed? As i know you are still covered by the pill for the 7 days you don't take it?

I'm not 100%sure tbh, that's what I'd do though

So not sure where to post. Got implant out in January and had 30/31 day cycles since. This month had all signs of ov round about cd15/16 but no positive opk just assumed I missed it. Then cd 20 I got ewcm. Then today out of curiosity, cd 23 I got a positive opk which will mean I will be having a really long cycle. Anyone had this?

Thanks IVW, always good to hear a success story.

I had a random long cycle about 4 months after I had the coil out. I didn't do opks as we weren't ttc at the time. But it was like a 45 day cycle

Hopefully this is just a random long one then. 🤞🏻
