Am also encouraged to read that you are 37 (me too) and still managed to do everything so well and naturally. I'm hoping to spend a lot of time in the water pool too at the local midwife run centre. Just have to hope my placenta has budged at my 32 week scan

Glad its given you some encouragement. I think its a case of having a good mental attitude about labour and trusting and knowing your body. Never once did I think I'd not be able to deliver him naturally and with the minimum of pain relief. Yes it hurt, but tbh it was a kind of pain I could rationalise as I knew what was causing it and also as I was able to move around, work with them and not against them and so on. Relaxing and going with it was the key.
