Well, had my first sweep earlier. Wasn't really looking forward to it, but it wasn't that bad. It wasn't my usual midwife, but she was really nice, made me feel relaxed and explained everything really well.

Baby's head has dropped a little further (2/5 now). Urine was clear (there was a trace of protein in it again on Monday at my hospital appointment), blood pressure was at the high end of ok, but ok (phew!). Really don't want another pre-eclampsia scare.

Best news was that she could find my cervix! It took her a few goes to get it in place, but she managed. She said everything was looking good and it was soft and thin, almost fully effaced. She didn't think I was too far away from things happening naturally and was hopeful that things could happen soon.

Just have to hope for the best now. Got home to some bleeding but she told me to expect that, am desperately hoping that my plug makes an appearance.

I'm sipping RLT and am about to put some clary sage on the diffuser, music on the stereo and just RELAX.

My appointment on Monday at the hospital where induction will be offered is looming. I just want to curl up at home and have the baby before then!!

So, had some light bleeding since the sweep, all old brown blood. Had a hot curry and a shag last night (on midwifes instructions! Never had a curry that made my eye lids sweat before! ). Thought that sex may have set the bleeding off again but it didn't.

Just went to the loo and there was a little bit more old blood, but also something that looked like snot! Not much of it, but enough to make me wonder if it could be my plug starting to go? I've never been so excited about what I've found on a bit of loo roll before lol!

I was beginning to loose hope of anything ever starting to happen!!
