Final hurdle mummies thread x

Little one is due 14th of march and I'm so excited I can't wait to meet him
Estimated on the 97th centile a big boy but I can't wait to actually experience labour and having a baby which sounds crazy!
Starting to feel really heavy and definitely unable to reach my toes like a panda.
This last hurdle feels like a new marathon I drank raspberry leaf tea for two weeks everyday and been using the ball to relieve back ache
Is there any hope of not going to 40 weeks with first baby? Having loads more discharge but no mucus plug

Anyone else super excited and close to meeting their bundles??

Ah not long to go for you! Have you finished work and things now? I'm due 28th March, I was 2 days early with my first so you never know. I think I may be having an elective section this time and so likely to deliver a week early but its not confirmed yet. I'm still at wotking but finding these last few weeks tough going, my firat pregnancy felt like a breeze in comparison! I just can't wait for baby to be here now

I stopped working very early on due to health problems and the nature of my work
My maternity end is scheduled for October time to go back to work just in time for Christmas pennies x
I'd love to know a confirmed date it would be extra exciting !
I'm very impatient and grumpy now as I'm not sleeping properly and constantly monitoring his movements
3 1/2 weeks to go! X

I'm 37+3 & I'm excited to meet little one, still anxious about labour! Trying not to overthink about it & to relax ( easier said than done) I'm getting to the point where I want baby to come out now, feeling big and very uncomfortable, pelvic pain & lower back pain feeling fed up! I have one of those balls which really helps with pain & gets baby moving into a different position. Hope I don't go to 40 wks hope little one comes early x

One of my friends had her first at 37 weeks literally finished work on the Friday and gave birth on the Saturday so it's possible! X

Hi ladies exciting times ahead, my 1st was 10 days early, i to was excited for labour and loved the experience and my second 13 days early so its possible, good luck. x

Hi ladies went in last night after sweeping in the morning and started getting pains
Cue another horrible care assistant and her opinions when I got there at midnight
Midwife said baby was really happy no signs of infection and the pains where caused because my little monkey has gone back to back but head down.
Cervix is still long thick and fully closed
Feels like the longest pregnancy ever xx

Sorry to hear they were horrible honneybear, its horrible when ypu don't know what to expect and don't know whats normal or not, ypu would think they would be alot more understanding x

22 days until edd ! Don't think he will be earlier with how she said my cervix was the other day
Not sleeping with terrible acid reflux again and for some reason pains In all my fingers all day and night...
Let's keep trooping on ladies xx

My first was 6 days early so you never know hopefully he makes an early entrance for you!

I really need to get myself a ball, I'm so uncomfy on the sofa in the evenings I've been going to bed at 9 every night haha!

The finger pain could be Carpal Tunnel Syndrome brought on by excess fluid during pregnancy - I asked my midwife about it because my hands feel weirdly stiff in the morning and she said it's most likely that. If they swell up or anything you should speak to your MW though

It's been lovely to see responses in the final weeks
It can go either way can't it
Is anyone doing anything to help their bodies?

Baby today is estimated at 7pound3 already!
He's still heads down but no engagement.
Everything seemed ok but after my urology appointment Monday midwife has referred me back to the pregnancy consultant tomorrow to see what will be done.

I've tried a box of raspberry tea over four weeks
I use my ball so thankfully he isn't back to back now
I've tried evening primrose oil last few days orally and
Today started with one internally and will try to increase and see what happens

I'm really uncomfortable my pelvis is clicking now I can't sleep and the acid reflux is still horrible

Have to agree on the acid reflux, I have it terrible this time. I'm really struggling at night time xxxx roll on all these babies arriving safe and sound! I have one more week at work, can't wait to finish now!

Honeybear- I'm suffering with acid reflux too, I'm taking gaviscon which is a godsend.

Midwife said baby is fully engaged so I'm doing things to speed things up as I've had enough, got some raspberry tea & pineapple today been bouncing on my ball. I'm 38 plus 3 I know I have wk & bit until my due date is really want baby to come now, feeling uncomfortable & pelvic pain it's not nice

Hi ladies, 36+5 today, but having c-section at 39 weeks due to previous issues etc, so just over 2 weeks to go!!! Our babies will be here soon. I had my previous baby on my due date, and i swear that the combination of lots of walking, raspberry leaf tea and sex (not all at once haha) deffo helped! Enjoy your sleep and nice baths in these next few weeks, cos itll be a long time before u can enjoy all of that again. I wish someone had said that to me xxxxx

Hi ladies saw the consultant today
They are leaving me another two weeks so 39+2 and then going to try get the induction process underway maybe with sweeps first, with my past medical problems and baby being bigger she had a good feel of his head
And it keeps popping back out my pelvis as he's trying to push down
I keep using my exercise ball and used epo capsules but think I'm abit sensitive to them so hopefully it'll help
I'm so relieved to have an idea when he will be coming the acid and pain in my pelvis is wearing on now x

I've just realised as well Thailand your due a week before me but we got our positives the same day
And sophD your due a day before me but I'm 4 days ahead of you I think hahahaha isn't it funny how they work out stuff xx

aww bless u, its nice to know the end is in sight isnt it. My actual due date is 20/03/17, but having c-section at 39 weeks, so 13/03/2017... I get myself all confused with the dates, doesnt take much hahahahaha
