I have done a pretty good job so far of keeping my spirits up and Taking things as they come, but this morning I just feel really down. I'm overdue and unclmfortable and meant to have an induction Sunday, which was the ONLY thing I was keen to avoid. Since my due date I've been chilled and said what will be will be, havent banned hubby from drinking, have gone out and about without qorrying about staying close to home, but it now looks as though I won't be getting the early labour I envisioned. I know all that matters is a healthy baby and actually it could have been worse they could have said I need a c section or something and that this is a pointless post but i wanted to get off my chest. :( xx

I have total sympathy for you! I also would not want to have an induction but you still have a few days to go so you never know! My NCT teacher was saying that baby is more likely to come out when you are totally relaxed and have a loving environment in the home - it does something to the hormones apparently!

It's understandable as well that you're totally fed up now that you're overdue. I'm 37 weeks and I'm already totally fed up too so I can only imagine how you must be feeling! But what will be will be and as long as you and your baby are healthy that's the main thing. :-) You will do fine no matter how baby comes out - I know it! x

Aww hun  This is soooooo not a pointless thread! x

You feel how you feel and you have every right to off load. I can appreciate how frustrated you are and that everything is getting to you cos your body is at the end of its tether both emotionally and physically.

I know from reading your other posts that you weren't keen on being induced and I'm sorry that its going that way for you  But ya never know, it could get things kicked off and you have a good experience (well that's what I'm trying to tell myself in case I've to go down that route - so don't want to).

I really feel for you. Are you able to have some you time and have a pampering bath and just generally have a relaxing, chilled day? Hope you feel better soon. x

Awwww :hugs: really hope something happens for you before Sunday! Fingers crossed

There's been quite a few girls on here who have had to be induced and then said that they had perfectly good experiences of it, try not to worry too much - hope you're ok! :hugs: xxx

Thanks ladies. My hubby said to me last night that no matter what kind of labour I'd "planned" that it wouldn't have gone the way I wanted. I guess that could be true. I may sound silly but I wanted the whole, calling my hubby at work, or waking him up and saying, "this is it!" and being able to go through early labour in my house, having a bath, watching tv etc, both of us together. He will not be allowed to stay at the hospital out of visiting hours unless I'm in established labour.

I don't even live that far from the hospital at all, but apparently they don't let you leave. I went and had reflexology today, as I have heard that that can help.

I just keep thinking that this time next week I will surely have my little baby and as long as they are healthy and happy that is the most important thing at the end of the day.

xx
