~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Hmmm.... My boss has just been round and suggested I consider a job share promotion at work. The job will be advertised Monday and she said I'd have a good chance if I applied. I'd have to talk to the other person she suggested I job share with who has children who are similar ages to L & J. I'm not sure we could even sort it with childcare etc.... I don't know - seems like a good opportunity if we can work out the job share aspect of it, but I was promoted when on mat leave with lily and it does make coming back to work more stressful....

Tough one! It'll just need to be a weigh up the pros and cons decision says a lot for you though that twice you've gotten promotion even on mat leave x

Lily the same happened to my cousin she's just returned from mat leave with baby no 2 and has accepted a job share promotion. She's doing 3 days a week and has been doing it for 3 weeks now and says its the best decision she's made. She gets to share out the responsibilities and says for the first time in 8 years doesn't go home thinking about work or checking her blackberry.

I've just sorted my return - early march and I'll be working 7-4 five days a week :( Roll on a quick ttc period!!!!

Bought my secret santa pressie today! Eek!

Babybee that's rubbish :( fx for quick ttc xxx

I have my secret santa gift too. It was fun choosing even if E did swipe the original gift!

I have an absolute pig of a headache. I feel like my brain is clawing its way out via my ears and eyes.

Tough decison lily, but likr babybee says it reflects well on you that they have promoted you twice on maternity leave.

I had some portraits of E done this week. Just seen them online. He wore cord trousers and a shirt and he really looks like a boy rather than a baby. So grown up.

My present is due to be delivered on Monday!

It's the only Christmas present I'm buying as we're so skint we can only get a few things for Spencer to open on Christmas morning the rest he'll get off family etc.

Looking forward to putting the decorations up soon!

When are yous all doing it?

I've been suffering with recurrent headaches recently but I think it's the lack of consistent sleep?

I'm putting the decorations up the last night of Nov. I'd put them up sooner but I think people would think I was nuts. :)
I'm waiting on my SS gift. I aim to post it out at the end of Nov when I'm posting my other "out of the country" gifts, or sooner if they all arrive before then.
The house move is starting to look like bedlam. Painters finally finished today. Firm are coming to measure & quote for blinds on Monday. I'm hoping carpet folk will come out and measure early next week too. I basically need the carpets down & then I'm moving! My dad is coming with me tomorrow evening to look at furniture. He doesn't care but I want him there because he'll know if the furniture will fit through the 2 doors. It's all starting to feel more achievable.

Aw tallulah hope the headache goes Hun!

Claire we are putting ours up 12 days before Christmas boo hoo!

I will send my gift out beginning of December, are we writing who it's from inside etc or letting each other reveal on here?

Hopes everything is sounding so exciting!

Diane, it's probably not that exciting to most but I've wanted this for soooooooo long. :) It sort of closes the door on the past without being too soft about it all.
My mum suffers from headaches when her depression "flares up", could that be a factor at all? Either way, I hope it goes soon!
I'm revealing mine inside the gift but like most SS things, we'll probably work it all out before then. ;)

BB - that's really interesting to hear about your cousin. I'm going to try and speak to the other girl to see if she's even up for it and if so, I think I will apply and just not worry if I don't get it. It's not often your boss suggests you apply for promotion so it seems a shame to let it go.

We'll probably put our Xmas decorations up about 10 days before Xmas. It depends - don't know what day Xmas falls on. We used to do it the weekend before Xmas but do it a bit earlier now for lily.

I've had loads of headaches since having jack. It's normally tiredness and/or dehydration for me....

Hopes - exciting news about the house! Are you hoping to be in for Xmas?

I dehydrate very quickly causing headaches so have to constantly drink. When I was poorly after Jack (gall stones) i was admitted 3 times for attacks before my surgery and every time I was severly dehydrated even though I was practically on a liquid diet!! I have a pint glass of water in the living room at all times now and try to get through 2 a day as well as a few cups of tea.

Harry's been in bed with us all night due to a bunged up nose, Jack woke at 6.30 so I transferred him back to his bed and got Jack up thinking Harry would wake up seeing as he's been asleep since 8pm but he's still fast asleep bless him! x

This is the first year since I moved out of my parents that I can actually put up decorations! So I'm very excited :-) my old flat didn't have any space and we couldn't afford any but this year we have space and the owner left his in his loft for us!

Some stupid stupid wee girl buzzed my flat buzzer at 4am to sing me a wee song! Raging! Cue a very upset Spencer who had got such a fright! Our buzzer is more of a loud ringing.

I moved out of the centre of town for a quiet life but instead I've got a peeping Tom and crazy drunk people!

For babies that have teeth or teeth poking through is it twice a day we need to brush them? And when do you do it? After breakfast and after dinner?

it's once a day with no toothpaste at this stage and u can do it whenever is convienient we do it after last bottle as part of her bedtime routine

My dentist cousin says twice a day as it starts that habit. If you want to uae a paste make sure it is flouride free until baby can spit out. I do Eli's after breakfast and then in the bath at night.

Hope Harry feels better soon.

Belfast girl , how did the salt dough end up?

We did twice a day from the day Jack's first tooth broke through to get him into the habit. We did after breakfast and before last bottle as he ususally fell asleep drinking. Now we do after breakfast and after bedtime milk. Harry's still gummy x

Suite of furniture, my bed & carpets ordered! Love my dad, he just immediately stops the salesman bullshit.

Look at what we made!! Not great but not bad for a first effort!

The photo makes it look a weird colour - it's dark green and light green. Got Tess's handprint to make into a Santa and I'll let emma do want she wants with hers!
