~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Kat, the salt dough Santa's are SO easy. You do need two people though, one to hold baby and the other to press their hand into the doughhttp://www.thekarpiuks.com/look-what-we-made-hand-print-santa-ornaments/ but yes, I will share photos.

Clairey, like Kat said if it is faulty they have to refund or replace. I have heard they are pretty good with stuff like that. And i haven't forgotten your email, just couldn't get on laptop but i will after breakfast!

Don't worry love there's no rush!

We had our third terrible terrible night in a row last night. I'm hoping it's just because he's unwell, gotta keep positive! So tired though

I'm sure it is cos he's unwell, Clairey. Just make sure you stick with the cot and him settling himself and he'll go back to it when he's better.

I'm amazingly lazy when it comes to making stuff but I made some salt dough hand and foot prints of lily and jack for fathers day this year and I can second the fact that they're very easy! I got lily to walk over some paper with paint on her feet, do handprints and I did some footprints with jack as well, and we used that to cover a box to put the hand and footprints in. I was very proud of it cos it was all very last minute cos my other gift plan fell through! And like I say, I'm not crafty at all (even though I actually quite enjoy it!).

I put it in the wrong thread but O has managed to get 1 over on me. He's hid most of his stacking cups but I can't find them anywhere. How can he be smarter than me?!?! No comments on that, thank you!

Aw wee scone! I keep finding all of Spencer's toys under the couch, right at the back, dunno how he manages it!

lol I love it, I bet he was smiling watching u look for them as well!

already decieded that were going to make a couple of baubles with Ruby's pictures in every year so I think we'll add a hand and foot print to that each year, it's that kind of stuff u can never make/do again but make great memories.

I think we'll be dropping the morning nap soon, she used to nap for about an hour-an hour and a half from about half 8 but she hasn't had a nap again this morning, I'm trying to get her to have at least half an hour now before her next bottle as she's grumpy but it's not going well!

Spencer's been down to one nap a day since he started sleeping in the cot. And it's a short one!

Although last night he was up until 1am but still got up at 6! And he fell asleep for an hour at 7

she's gone to sleep! not sure how long this will last tho.

I don't envy the rest of u, I'm so grateful ruby sleeps so well (most of the time) after reading about all your lo's sleep patterns and the past week ish when Ruby's been up till midnight 3nights cos of a cold ad not napping properly and been really grizzly and grumpy during the day because of these I really have alot of admiration and respect for u all!

Last night O was up a few times before midnight but he just needed repositioned which takes seconds. Then he slept until 6am, came in with me for a cuddle & dozed off for a while until about 7.30am. We'll see how night #2 goes. x

I love doing crafty stuff with emma and she loves it too but I hate the mess! Yesterday she ran all round the house shaking glitter everywhere saying it's snowing! Outwardly I was calm but inside I was doing a lot of imagining I was a calm swan!!

BG - In a way I can't wait for that bit getting to make stuff with ruby, I am hoping we win the lottery so I can get someone else to clean everything up tho, Calm thoughts!

It's great and very frustrating at the same time - you want them to go wild - but at the same time show them how to do things 'properly'.
We are lucky that we have a big conservatory with a tiled floor that so far has survived paper mâché, paint, glitter, glue, cake batter and Gluck thrown at it!
The worst so far was making gnocchi, that was a challenge!

my mum told me she had massive spill matts and ended up putting one on the floor and puttin 4 up like curtains to cover tha walls to make a messy room out of our dining room when me and my brother were little, I think between my attempts at art and my brothers version of eating this was a brilliant idea I will steal if we ever move to a bigger house!

Is anyone else dealing with severe tantrums already?

Changing Spencer when he doesn't want to be changed, he's screaming, kicking me pounding his fists on the floor. If I pull him away from anything dangerous it's screaming for 5 minutes then he seems to forget. And God forbid I lift him when he doesn't want to be... I'm getting punched in the face and he's chucking himself back really hard I've nearly dropped him a few times this week!

I'm just wondering if it's a phase or a sign he's going to be a bad tempered wee boy!

looking at the wonder weeks app and Spencer's in the middle of a leap (approx) and should be in a nightmare week thing week, could this have something to do with it?

I know what u mean by the changing thing, and God forbid I try and make ruby do something she doesn't want to do! We could both just have stubborn children mind- I hope not though!

S is the same. I sometimes really worry about her temper, but I'm sure its just a 'phase'. Kinda sick of getting head butted though, and then her being covered in scratches and bruises from her tantrums.

I'm also getting so fed up of her being covered in bruises, I mean, does anybody have any advice as to what I can do? She is standing up on her own all the time now, literally as soon as she's on the floor she's up again, but she isn't stable for long so is constantly falling down, she's crawling and keeps banging into things, we have wood floors and she has a really nasty bruise on her forehead and I feel that people are judging me when I'm out and about but I dunno how to prevent it! I've put a really large rug down but she just moves away onto the floor. I try to watch her but can't watch her 24/7 :(

How is Jas, today nicky?

I do grown up, adult crafty stuff too hopes. I am all a bit twee! I stitched a quilt and bunting for E nursery and hand drew the weather on the wall now we moved house. Boo!

Clairey, E isn't quite that bad but I have noticed the last ten days or so he has become very forceful in letting me know what he does or doesn't approve of, he is pretty chilled out and laid back but if I should move a toy, or move him, or even worse try to get him dressed or wipe his face he definitely lets me know.

I think it is just a stage and them learning that they can protest their displeasure, sometimes we migt give in or sometimes we won't. All one big learning curve for them.

Oh diane. I think the only people who would judge you are those who haven't had children and don't know what a pre walker is like. You have done all you can, S will figure it out. X

Diane, O is only creeping (& crawling wee bits now & again) & he's covered in bruises. I think we just have to ride it out. I bought O a huge foam playmat & he still prefers the tiles. Tiles! I try not to kill his wee spirit & sense of curiosity but I spend most days with my heart in my mouth. :)
