~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Awww how lovely Sassy!

I'm glad Skylers starting to feel better! As for a christening etc, were Italian catholic so will definitely be getting her christened! We usually wait around 4 months. So will probably have it in June. Usually it's followed by a big party but we only got married last April and had quite a big reception so unfortunately the christening party is going to be small. What sort if thing are you going to do Diane?xxx

Hello mummies!

Blake is starting to be a little rascal at nights! He will have a full 5oz bottle, then refuse to settle, then demand more food, then take 1oz and refuse any more, then refuse to settle again and start demanding food again, so we give him more and he throws up. Then he wants more food because it's been thrown up :wall2: It's taking us up to 2 hours to get him to bed at night and by then we are both losing patience. The plus side is that once he is asleep he will go 4 hours before waking again, which means I only have to get up once in the night.

Sassy- I can't believe Tris is already pushing for another baby! You need to get over having CJ first! I hope you're not getting another infection- I was hot and sweaty last night and I'm already taking my second course of antibiotics. These C section scars suck big time!

Nicky- Your confidence will come hun, before long you will wonder what you worried about.

Diane- We're having Blake christened, I think about September time. Me and OH are not into traditional gowns though, so he will be dressed in a suit :)

Ooh bless you dc with Blake being fussy! He sure likes his food tho!!! Go him taking 5oz!!!

Yep we are going for christening as well; Paul is polish catholic so no choice really lol! I was thinking June or august cos gotta work it around Pauls work shifts grr! Babybee I'm prob gonna have to have a big party, especially if it's joint with my nephew! And I bet Blake will look sooo cute in a suit dc!!!

He takes after his dad- always eating! I just hope he has his dads metabolism or he'll be on a diet when he's older

Some of the little suits are so adorable, I can't wait to buy one. I do feel a little hypocritical though as I'm not religious at all  Me and OH were both christened, so it just seems like the right thing to do. It gives us an excuse to have a little party too

You should have nice weather in June/August Diane- the photos will be lovely x

DC, Tris can push as much as he likes, I am NEVER going through that again! It's not an option for me, I was told it was dangerous for me to have CJ, I'm not putting my life at risk just for his daddy's OCD!!!!

As for feeding, CJ is now starting to take 4oz, but we are throwing up too!!!!

I'm not getting CJ christened, I was christened but never went to church, tris has never been christened, we may just have a party anyhow! Lol!

CJ already has a pair of trousers with matching waistcoat, shirt and tie, it's 3-6 month so too big yet but tris couldn't resist buying it..... Have a look in next ladies, they have some gorgeous formal type outfits, just need to find him some funky shoes!!!!

I'm fancying a bath (need to stop being lazy and shave!!!) but can guarentee as soon as I get in little man will wake up, numnuts is asleep and not getting up til about 2:30/3pm! Guess it can wait and I'll just have a shower! May even straighten my hair tonight, haven't done it since I can't remember when! Can't put makeup on as I threw it all out as was all out of date!

Hope your days are going ok xx

I've got my old christening gown that my grandmother made from my mums communion dress. It's very simple but sweet plus sentimental. So I'm putting her in that. Then I'm going to get her a cute summer white dress for the party. I think I may have the party at my house or my mums and do all the catering from Waitrose (they have that catering division?) to save money and that way I can have more people round to celebrate. Then maybe buy loads of wine in Calais as a day trip there isn't too expensive. I wish the British weather would guarantee beautiful sunny days in June/July time! Oh I'm getting excited about this now. I can make cute bunting etc to make it really pretty. Diane and DC, you've got me really into this now!!xxx

Sassy, I can't remember the last time I straightened my hair too. I just wash it and tie it up now. My OH is the opposite regarding more babies. He says he can't go through that again as my labour traumatised him! Try going through it mate! I might be able to persuade him in a couple of years time.

I've just been looking for function rooms for a party after the christening. I've found a nice pub that is only 3 miles away. I think we should go for dinner there and if we like it I can make enquiries.

Babybee, the christening gown sounds beautiful!!!!

DC, my hair is too short to tie up (I'm growing it after having it asymmetric, and it's at that annoying length, it's also desperate for a good cut, had it done the week before CJ was born!!!

Hope you girls all get the christening venues/party venues you want!!! :-) xx

He decided to wait til now to announce he needs his hair cutting, we are going out at 4:30, I'm not even showered!!! Had to sort CJ out first! Grrrr!!! Xx

I just received my Mother's Day present. The lo carried it in on her thumb. Here's a pic! It's too small for my post pregnancy chubbo fingers but I'm getting it resized on Monday. I saw one just like this on our honeymoon and my hubby said maybe when we have our first child. I kept reminding him (half joking half serious) and today I got it! I heart it. Excuse my dry pasty fat hands in the photo. The ring he got me today is on my little finger:

Also HL28, I bought one of those sea horses the other day, I don't know if she's too young but she doesn't seem to notice it. I found downloading a white noise app on my phone helps the most.

He's having a little trouble with his breathing so keeps making grunty and squeaky noises. They have taken blood and done a chest X-ray but we are still waiting for the results. He is having antibiotics as a precaution.

X

Congratulations Abi!!!! He's gorgeous. Hope you're both ok xxx

Oh Abi what a little stunner!! Sorry to hear about his breathing concerns. Hopefully they get to the bottom of it quickly and can fix it asap!
How are after the c section? A few of us had to have c sections so if you need any advice just let us know!

HL28, what a good idea! I'm going to do the same!! I need to get her into some kind of routine and that will help!

Xxx

Just expressing then bedtime, he is on night duty tonight!!! Xx

Mothers Day isn't until May here, so unless my husband remembered that today is the day in England I am not expecting anything. I hope you all have lovely first Mothers Day.

We are surviving here. Eli is good, I am just not sure we are doing things right or if I should do things differently. He is ten days old today, but with the NICU stay I feel like he is half that age. We are still getting to know each other, I find it really hard to nap during the day when he sleeps so am exhausted. My husband is being very sweet and lovely but he can't feed the baby so is limited in that respect.

Congrats on Rueben. He is a real sweetie. And well done Nicky, so pleased Jasmine is finally here. The photo after her bath is gorgeoys.

Happy Mother's Day to all you lovely ladies, hope you all have a magical day xxxx
