~February & March Mummies and Babies~

Talulah, I don't think I'm ever doing anything right but don't worry. Eli's start to life has shocked you but the more you get used to him in your life the more you'll know what to do and how to accommodate his needs.

Sassy, your mil sounds so sweet!!!

Happy Mothers Day everyone! I hope that you are treated very well today :)

Loads of love!xxx

Happy Mother's Day sweetie, hope it's fabulous for you!!! Xx

**faints with shock** numnuts sterilised the bottles..... Only problem was he turned the steriliser on before the pump was in there, so no sterilised electric pump at next express time!!!!
Oh and I just expressed 6oz **dances round bedroom before falling back into bed!!!**

Happy Mother's Day ladies. Hope you are all spoilt after your hard work :) xx

Happy mothers day ladies!!! Have a lovely day with ur new babies xxx

Skyler last fed at 10pm (150ml) and woke at 9am for a feed! I'm still worried that's too long to go but she feeds loads in the day, is gaining weight and I've read online that a baby won't starve so gonna just accept that she is ok with doing it.

Happy mothers day feb mummy's xxx

Wow Diane! You have a dream child! I wouldn't worry as she's definitely let you know if she was hungry. Make the most of it :) xxx

Hello everyone, can i join the thread? Jack was born on March 4th, weighing 7lb 7. We're doing fine, though also having issues settling him in his moses basket after his 10pm ish feed. We're also handling it by co-sleeping just for that feed - he's fine in the moses basket after that.

Will read through the thread properly in a minute to see how everyone else is handling these things but just wanted to say hello while i had a minute!

Unfortunately she is really unsettled all day now. She is screaming and crying most of her awake time! I have no idea what it could be; if it was colic or reflux she wouldn't sleep all night would she?? But her body keeps going rigid and she has lots of wind! Or maybe it's a leap? Shes 5 week on Tuesday. Even though I'm sleeping at night, the days are exhausting me. Last night I snapped at my hubby for no reason for the first time :-( just felt over- whelmed with not knowing why she's screaming all the time! Surely I should "know" my baby by now!

Hey lily, welcome, of course you can join, more the merrier!!!

I'm finding my little man has gone from being fine in his basket to not liking by his 7am(ish) feed, and we have ended up co-sleeping after that!

Diane, I wish my little man would feed like that and sleep all night!!!

I really do think little dude has reflux, he is being sick after every feed, i am gonna try some infacol today though just incase it's wind causing it, but I don't think it is!!!

Question, how do you know when to move them on to bigger teats on their bottles?? I know having to work harder can cause them to take in more air, which can make wind worse, may try a size two at his next feed to see how he goes!

Diane, CJ is the same, he is fast asleep but when he is awake he is really unsettled alot of the time, and I feel overwhelmed by it all!!!
I wondered if it was just a leap, but him then the sickness and stuff is unusual, and he hardly ever burps, so I wonder if it is wind, I don't think it's colic from what people have told me, it's so confusing!!!!
Sending big hugs lovely xxx

Thanks sassy it's horrible isn't it? Im finding it really hard, just dunno what's wrong!! Hope our babies are better soon :hugs:

I'm wondering if he is taking too much milk, but he seems hungry if I only give him 2oz!!! He has just been sick on me again after his feed!!! :-(
You don't think it could be my milk do you???? I'm worrying I'm causing it!!!
I hate this! Xx

Diane - just popped back on and seen your post. Sounds like you're having a tough time in the daytime :( Just going from your last post it could be colic. Generally colicky babies have a time when they're particularly fussy and it's often the afternoon or evening. It wouldn't necessarily affect nights at all. Or it could be a leap. Either way I would keep on top of the winding (lying a baby on their back and bicycling their legs can help bring out trapped wind too) and keep doing what you're doing. It will pass, whatever it is.

And as for knowing your baby - as soon as you think you do, they change! I never knew my daughters cries and stumbled my way through her first year at least! But it got progressively easier over time and i got more confident which helped loads. Don't worry - you'll get there x

Tris and his mum think it's my medication making CJ sick! If it is that I feel soooo bad :-( xx

Thanks girls you always know how to cheer me up, I really love this group xxxx

Sassy hun can you speak to your doctor again about the meds? Don't feel bad AT ALL! Your meds are something you need! You and cj will be fine lovely xxx

Baby Roo has been checked out and is fine. His bloods and chest X-rays came back clear so he has to have antibiotics tonight and we can hopefully go home tomorrow!

He is clearly very clever as he managed to order me flowers and a card for Mother's Day lol.

X

CJ put 5oz on this week, so guessing its not that bad.... Maybe looks more than it is? Just hate it, it's been worse this last week :-(

I'm fuming, my wound is infected again, it's sore, itchy, red and oozing, asked numnuts to watch little man so I could soak it in a salt bath and all I could hear was him screaming, I ended up getting out of the bath, and sorting him out, numnuts was outside smoking, he said he 'went to the toilet' (we have one outside)..... That as maybe but not for 15 mins and coming back in stinking! I've left CJ with him while I try to express!!!!

I love you ladies to bits, your the best, thanx for always making me feel better!!!! Xxxx
