~February & March Mummies and Babies~

That's brilliant news Abi!!! And Diane that's amazing how long she sleeps and as you said I'm sure she'd wake if she was hungry. Xxx

Awww clever boy Abi and glad all clear!!!!

I have a clever boy too, he has his own email address, he got it when he was 2 week old!!!! Xx

Hey Lovelylilly! Welcome to the thread!

Abi, such good news about your lo!

Sassy and Diane, I hope CJ and Skyler settle more over the next few days. Fingers crossed they are going through their first leap! As long as they're gaining weight, have healthy poos etc then don't worry too much about it.

E is 1 month old today and I have to start her on her iron supplement the poor little mite. She's already on folic acid. This is all to help her blood count increase following the transfusion. Apparantly iron makes their poos green and they become constipated. She's so tiny still to have to go through things like this!

We did have a lovely Mother's Day though! We went to church and she got blessed by 2 priests. The priest gave a lovely speech about celebrating mothers. Then we all went back to my mums and had fish and chips. Was lovely!

How's everyone else's day been?
Xxx

Mine has been painful, bloody section wound!!!!
We just had Chinese for tea which was nice, laid on sofa now while numnuts goes for a smoke! Need to give CJ a bath but don't wanna wake him while he is settled!
He is still being sick, even an hour or so after his feed and it's coming from his nose too, yuk! My poor little man :-(
Glad you had a good day babybee!!! :-) xx

Sorry Sassy, I meant to ask how your section wound was! Sorry to hear its still painful. I was actually going to ask you, are you still bleeding? I stopped for a few weeks but the past few days the bleeding has come back?? Also I still feel tingly above the wound - is that normal? I was going to make an appointment with the doctor to find out?

Poor little CJ! Is it after every feed? I hope it clears up really quickly!xxx

Don't have to say sorry lovely! It's driving me mad right now :-( as for the bleeding, it's stopped but occasionally I get some really light spotting, it's not loads but it is there, especially if I have done too much! The midwife at hospital told me above her scar was still numb/tingly a year and a half on, so I think the tingle is normal!

Tris is at work, I'm having a nervous night tonight with him being sick, don't really wanna be on my own! I'm laid in bed catching up on tv, he is asleep for now, see how long for! It is after every feed yes, and sometimes he can be sick over an hour later, I don't like it :-( xx

Ive had a terrible evening, I'm convinced it's colic I'm feeling very down and frustrated :-(

Hope little cj is ok tonight sassy, must be horrible seeing him being sick!

Sounds like a lovely day babybee! X

It's scary Diane, I hate it!!!! He is asleep now after his bath, not sure how long for, til I've expressed hopefully!!!!

My mil text to say she bought him presents from mamas and papas while she was waiting for fil to finish at old trafford, spoilt boy!!!!

Hope Sky is ok and settles soon! I'm going back to drs tomorrow with us both!!!! Xx

I don't wanna put him down incase he is sick, but I'm sooooo tired!!! :-( xxx

Hope everyone had a lovely day today. This morning I may have gotten Alfies first smile. Paul's convinced it wasn't wind. I'm more of a pessimist and not so sure haha I'm never that lucky. His first smile... On my first mothers day?!

To make you all laugh I took this photo the other day...thought I'd share. Still cracks me up every time I see it. Windy sleepy pops :-) hope everyone's keeping well xx

Awe Maddie that is sooooo cute!!

I'm having a nightmare with little man tonight, he just won't settle at all, my contented, sleepy little man has gone to be replaced by a sicky, stressed little man :-( I hate this, plus I'm on my own for 3 days :-( xxxx

Maddie that is so lovely! Best present you can receive on Mother's Day! Sure it was a smile too!! That pic of Alfie is ridiculously cute!!

Sassy, i'd be scared too but you are doing everything right. Would you ever think about having your mum or someone over whilst Tris is on nights?

Hope Skyler and CJ get better!

Little E has just screamed the house down when I changed her. Her poo was a horrible green colour thanks to the iron supplement!

Xxx

He finally went down at 2:30 til now, he has just had a feed and was sick and is now unsettled and awake, I desperately need to express as dont even have a full feed in fridge!!!!
There is nowhere for them to sleep if they came, I'm going to mums on Friday for the weekend, just got 2 more nights to go it alone xxx

Well there is no issue with my medication making this child drowsy, he is wide awake after 3 hours sleep!!!

I managed to express 4oz, with him laid on me, not sure how I managed but I did, would rather not have to again but least it can be done, need to adapt a bra to become hands free!!!!

It's bloody snowing here, and will have to walk to drs with him later, that won't be fun, but least I have some amazing snow suits for him!!!!

Oh the joys of motherhood..... I'm shattered but he is worth it! Hope you all had better nights, and have a good day xxxx

Sassy, how did you express with him laid in you? I want to learn how to breast feed on one side and express on the other!

Good luck with the snow today. It's meant to snow here too but I really hope it doesn't. I'm so over snow now!
Xxx

I expressed with difficulty! He is kinda settled but not properly :-( xxx

Hello ladies,

Can I join??

I didn't realise there was a section for us after the tri 3 March Mums thread, it's lovely to come on here and see some familiar names, I'll have a read through the pages later to catch up with how everyone is getting on. :)

My story briefly from labour to now is that I had an incredibly painful, slow, 30 hour back to back labour before delivering her with forceps/episiotomy (I'll get round to writing my story later today), all worth it though and so far Emma is being a little star, she sleeps pretty much all the time, we even have to wake her to feed her then she's asleep until the next feed.
Apparently I was exactly the same as her so she's definitely a mummys girl.

I'm doing fine, my stitches underneath are healing great, they feel a bit tight but not painful and other than that I've felt pretty much normal, the first day or two I had heavy thighs which I assume was from the bruising to my back after the epidural but it's settled now.

So all in all I feel incredibly lucky and of course in love!

Hi Rubydoo and welcome!!!
Congrats on your beautiful little girl!
Just go ahead and post away, I'm on here pretty much every day frantically learning how to be a mum!! I wrote up my birth story in the birth announcement section but that's about it for me.

DW, could the allergy be dairy? I had similar symptoms when I was a baby and it turned out I had an allergy to dairy.

Sassy, I managed to breast feed and express. It took getting out my long pregnancy pillow for the baby and precariously placing the pump on my other breast. There was some leaking but I did it!!

Xxx

Hi rubydoo and welcome :-)

I didn't even get a chance for a labour thread and i never did get round to writing a birth story. But pretty much explained it all in the old thread in tri 3.

Hows everyone doing today? Alfies quite sicky today was sick all over me this morning haha it went everywhere! He woke at 1230, 415 and then 845. I don't mind nights like that but it's the nights where he doesn't go back to sleep :-( also I'm a self confessed Co sleeper now. He sleeps so much better with us and is a much happier baby. Going to have to stop giving in and put him in his basket again though :-( its just so hard!

Pauls off today :-) we are having pasties for lunch Paul and his brother have just gone to asda to get some :-)

What's everyone else upto today? X
