I fed Alex when he had his done he didnt even flinch my brave little boy, try not to worry they really arent that bad xx

Mine had to have a couple of blood tests a day to check her blood count when we were in hospital for a week. It's worse for us to see than for them. Mine hated having her nappy changed more than having her blood taken. Don't worry about it!

Happy anniversary Diane!

HL28, paracetamol is def ok whilst breast feeding as is ibuprofen. I had these for a couple of weeks after my section and the docs reassured me they were fine to take.

Xxx

Me too! I couldn't remember the names of them. Lol.
The doc told me that it would take having a dose of liquid morphine 3 times a day for a few days for it to pass through into breast milk.

HL28, feel better you poor love! Xxx

When I came home from hospital I had a right collection of tablets - you could rattle me haha and I'm breastfeeding.

I'm starving but jas is snuggled up to me asleep so don't want to wake her!! X

Ladies, I've got some formula for little man to top him up, i was using cartons, but its cheaper to buy the powder, he has it on a night, and feeds on demand, it says not to make the feed up in advance etc.... Can you advise what you formula feeding ladies do please? I have the hipp one!!!

Nicky, great news about Jas!!! Xxx

Hey ladies, Harry had a follow up hearing test at the hospital this afternoon because he failed the one they do in hospital at birth. He has tiny ear canals basically and the nurse when he was born couldn't get the ear plugs in his ear properly. She did another test where she stuck sticky patches on him and he past on the left ear but not the right resulting in today app.

He past the right ear with flying colours today (he was wired right up!) but failed on his left ear :( She said it was only on the lowest sound they test for which is basically a whisper but still it's not nice to hear that your baby has failed :(

Anyway she tested the nerve of his ear and said it is all fine so he can hear but his ear is probably blocked with mucus because of his blocked tear ducts, and again she mentioned his tiny ear canals. But she can't pass him because of this low sound fail.

He has to have another test when he's 6 months old by which time his ear canals should be fine x

p.s Sassy you know you only get a 4 week life span on formula powder? I doubt you'll use it in 4 weeks if he only has 1 feed a day? And if you went for Hipp Organic it only has 3 weeks to be used! Just incase you didn't know x

Claire, he has 2 feeds a day of formula, it was costing me about £3 a week for cartons which can only be open 24 hours, so the formula works out cheaper at £7.99 a box which lasts 3 weeks once open, but thank you for the advice, it's much appreciated! Xxx
