We have spent the evening trying o remember nursery rhymes so we can teach them to Orlando!
So I thought I'd find out Everyone's fave

Because orlando is a boy I am going with
The grand old duke of York

I am having trouble remembering the correct versions of nursery rhymes I can only remember the rude versions

we will sing humpty dumpty my husband rather rudely sings humpty bumpty to us both already cheeky bugger

I have been known to sing Twinkle Twinkle little star to my bump! Soppy buggar I am. But apparantly if we sing to them now or play them music over again it soothes them when they are here because it's familiar :) xxx

I like "You shall have a fishy"; my daughter's favourite is "There was an old woman who lived in a shoe"; and my son's favourite is "Hickory dickory dock".

He he so cute I love nursery rhymes! My dad used to sing to us
Chorus: Oh! Mister Porter, what shall I do?
I want to go to Birmingham
And they're taking me on to Crewe.
Send me back to London
As quickly as you can
Oh! Mister Porter, what a silly girl I am.
First time we went to Crewe we sang it all the way there ha ha

Its got to be Nellie the Elephant for me, maybe not a true nursery rhyme but I sang this to my nephew so often he sang it in assembly when he was 5:

"the heard of the herd was calling from far far away....
and auntie jo doesn't know the words
on the way to Mandalayyyyyy"
