EWCM timings

Hi!
Been a while since on here as trying for number 2! Eek!
First month we’ve tried and I’ve forgotten all the things I used to know about timings of cycle.
I’ve got a 30/31 day cycle and not sure when I ovulate. Used to get quite a bit of ewcm but I think I don’t see it when I’m regularly dtd (anyone else find this??)
I think illl get my period on 14th so thought prime baby making time was last week, esp as I’m sure I thought I had a long luteal phase. But saw a bit of ewcm this morning...
Is it possible to have it after ovulation? C. 10 days luteal seems short, but maybe cycle is longer this month 🤔
Any thoughts on my ramblings would be much appreciated 🤣 xxx

Hi! I sometimes get it just before AF comes so it is possible.

I don't seem to notice it as much when regularly dtd either.

I don’t tend to notice ewcm but the one time I did was three days after a cp so I definitely was not ovulating. I think it can happen when ever you have a flux in hormones, if it is your first month have you just come off contraception? Maybe your hormones are just trying to balance out

Sharcaz - I have a June ‘17 baby how about you? I poas on Sunday - which was too early and I have no idea why I did it! Was cd26 and got a BFN. Usually I’m about 31 days, so fingers crossed for tomorrow’s poas on cd31!

We were really lucky last time round to get pregnant quick. But I was convinced I wasninfertiles in a past relationship as just didn’t happen (thankfully now!!). So I’m kind of worried, but trying not to be!!

How are you feeling about it all? Xxx

Aww wow Selly I'm glad I have a fellow ttc-er that has a younger baby too! Although mines a Nov 2016 so not as young! Are you nervous about having two youngsters at all with a small age gap?
I actually just got my BFP today!! Shock!! We only decided to ttc this month but after my ovulation so thought we were out. We dtd during ovulation several times but he pulled out. So seems we beat the odds this time!! I'm still in disbelief!

Congratulations!!! That’s great!
I got a BFN so pretty sure I’m out this month. We’re going to Malta in a couple of weeks so I guess at least I can drink there!!
Yeah, we might be a bit mad! But we have the rip off the plaster type of approach and want to just get hit with all the craziness and sleepless nights at once!! I can then refocus on job and promotions after. Going back in June so was hoping to be preggers by then, but we’ll see.

Bit sad about this morning but maybe nature is telling me to hold off a little!!

Aww it took us a while to conceive our son (a year!) so don't lose hope that it won't happen before June have you heard of the sperm meets egg method? I think you BD every other day of your cycle
I like your approach to ripping off the plaster! That was our thinking too! I didn't go back to work after our son as my husband moves a lot with work so haven't found work here yet... And well be moving again within a year so thought let's get the babies out the way now haha!

I didn't test any other time with our son... We'd pretty much given up with all the negatives. I then woke up at 6am one morning and thought I'd try and there it was bfp! I was 13dpo good luck sweetie! I'll keep an eye out how you're getting on if youre on the ttc forum at all! Xxx

It's normal to get some EWCM in the luteal phase as you get another estrogen peak and that's what causes it.

Sorry you got a BFN...it takes on average 6 months, so don't be surprised if it takes a little longer...that's perfectly normal, nothing to be worried about x
