So had been fliating on the edge of labour for a while had lots of BH, sweep at 39w and spme reduced movement.
After yet another false start on the Thurs night i was not a happy bunny n woke up at 3:30am with backache tgen 4am started to contract after a couple of hrs started timing, had bath at home n due to reduced movement rung hosp n was told to go into adu so off we trotted. Contractions 5 mins at this point n hurting!! Wen adu midwife checked my cervix my waters went it was like an indoor pool and she said I was 3cm. Labour ward didnt want me so i was put on another ward to wait it out. In lits of pain at this point had another bath n was in agony so had pethedine n bounced on my ball havibg the occassional mini meltdown! Eventually got onto labour ward was examined n was a whopping 8cm!! Too late for anything else so top up of pethedine then gas and air started. It took me an hour altogether to fully dilate n push her out. She was back to back n weirdest feeling was having her body turned inside me. Also they discovered a knot in the cord so shes been one lucky cookie!! Had 2 stitches n my midwife was amazing!
Think thats everything. Oh and no downs
