What are your views on baby girls having their ears pierced?? Best when they are younger or older????

Personally i think its awful. There is no need for it at all in my opinion.

Thea wont be getting hers done until she is old enough to ask for and look after them herself.

I was about 4 when I had mine done and it was my choice, I remember being really excited about showing them off to my Daddy. I will let Leorah have hers done when she wants, by the time they are old enough to understand it will hurt and still want them is the right time in my opinion.

In some places it is a cultural thing. For example in some countries in South America baby girls get their ears pierced soon after they have been born. There is actually someone at the hospital that does it.

My husband is from there and if we have a baby girl we will probably go along the same route.

They even shave all the babies hair off when they are born as well. Someone actually will come to your room and do it. They say it grows back stronger.

Here in Spain they come round the hospitals, and most baby girls have them pierced to show they are girls, in the city every newborn baby girl has their ears pierced and i think it looks awfull as they are so young....we did'nt get Mia's done -although i would like them done one day, probably when shes a little older.

i had laurens done when she was 1 and i found it hard to clean them and turn them as she hated me doing it and there is no reasoning with a 1 year old. I think studs look sweet on little girls but when mums stick creoles on babies thats a bit much. Megs had hers done when she was 3 as she really wanted them done and it was a much better experience. I will deff wait till phoebe asks for them this time to xx

I was 5 when I had mine done and I have a friend who has had both her girls done and they only wear the most daintest studs.

personally i dont like it on wee babs. i think anytime from 5-10 when they are a bit more capable in helping to look after them.

evadel its wen a topic goes badley and a mod has to lock it last time there was a big arguement as alot of people didnt like it but someone had it done (up to that person to say it was them want no fite lol)

When I read the title I hesitated before i clicked on it lol...but so far so good....

I wouldnt untill she was older (assuming i have a girl one day) however I dont judge or slate people that choose to do it, its their decision at the end of the day..Its when I see little boys or girls with big hoops in their ears when I raise my eyebrows cause that is ott...imho
