Im going to see gp tonight to ask for hormone tests and to see if i can have something to start af after waiting 76 days..............feeling positive as iv been reading up on womens hormones and all my symptoms suggest hormone imbalance and possibly fibroids or the cycts i have possibly getting bigger, going in with the 'i wont be fobbed off' attitude! see where it gets me! wish me luck xxx

Do you have a list of things you want to discuss?

When I went to see my GP I had printed out all the relevant info as I was worried she wouldn't take me seriously (she did though and referred me straight away!)

I am now taking my "won't be fobbed off" attitude to the specialist recurrent m/c clinic on 6th Jan - I am once again armed with a list and a postive attitiude!

hmmmm i dont have a list wrote down, i may note some bullet points to keep me on track, im also taking my 76day long bbt chart to show my low temps, this backs up my low progesterone possibility theory, i hope he will give my something to kick of af! i know it can take a week or two after you have taken it for a week or 10 days to bring her on so i dont want to delay much longer! xxx

The info you have sounds fine, I sometimes find it helps to have some info to hand as my mind often just goes blank when I am at the Dr's. It's those white coats LOL!

well that went ok.................going to get blood takem tomorow, gp checking for evrything, i asked for thyroid too

checking :

Bone profile, electrolyte profile, ESR, FBC, LH/FSH, Lipids, Prolactin, TSH and Glucose

going back in a week to discuss results, he said if anything shows abnormal i will get a scan, he says we will discuss bringing on af then

Iv just googled all the thingd he's testing for and estrogen, progesterone and testosterone arnt on the list! what was the point in going then cos they were the things i was worried about grrr

Doc sounds good. My doc I've been with since June did the same tests and all my bloods came back as normal.

My previous doctor suggested going back on the pill to bring on AF and regulate it, thankfully I didn't listen and got a bfp but after the mc in Aug it took till nov to get my body back to normal.

Ask the nurse when you get there if you can check for estrogen & progesterone too - she might be able to wangle it.... Good that he's checking so many things, tho' shame it's not the ones you want! Hope it goes ok... x

Depends on the nurse and if they're helpful or not. Could you maybe try and phone/speak to your doc before you go and see if he'll add those things on - seems a shame to have to go back... x

I would phone and pester him if you don't hear anything soon or just get down to the docs and see if you have more joy there, but maybe that's just me... Good luck x

Yay!! That's great! Blood tests are rubbish, but it'll be over soon and the results will really help you know what's what.... Hope it goes ok - let us know when you expect to get the results... x
